  1. Are you able to do this?
  2. Click View > Show All Devices.
  3. Select the physical disk located at the top (named similarly to Apple SSD AP1234F Media) and click Erase. -Not the super drive

  5. Name the drive Macintosh HD.
  6. Choose OS Extended (Journaled).
  7. Keep the scheme GUID Parition Map.
  8. Click Erase.
  9. Close Disk Utility and return to the macOS Utilities window.
  10. Click "Reinstall macOS" and follow the instructions on the screen to finish the installation.
*** NB DO NOT SELECT THE ORANGE DISK THAT IS THE RECOVERY***

If you can click on erase
  1. Name the drive Macintosh HD.

  6. Click "Reinstall macOS" and follow the instructions on the screen to finish the installation.
