Also when you set the BIOS you set it as
[ol]
[li]Depending on your board, do one of the following: Go to the Configuration > SATA Drives menu, set Configure SATA to IDE. Go to the Advanced > Drive Configuration menu, set ATA/IDE Mode to Native.[/li][/ol]Comment

I had someone send me another copy of Win Xp that they say they know is good. I am uninstalling the one I have and going to try this one and see if the luck is any better. If not, then I am at a loss. I can’t find my thumbdrive, so I will need to get another. But I may just try what you have here with another blank cd. I hate to keep using them, but my primary objective at this point is just to get this PC working.Comment

find very specific drivers and he was able to find them. Not sure where because I tried anything and everything.
That’s why I am convinced it was a download/burn to disc issue.
The main thing is you are going.Comment
