I recently bought a used gaming pc, and for whatever reason it wont to connect to Wi-Fi (I do have a WiFi adapter plugged in) and the Ethernet cable won’t connect until some random point after 20 minutes-1 hour. Any ideas why this might be happening?

So other can assist let get a speccy report.

Do not forget to post the make and model of the PSU if this is a desktop.

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

Please do not include all of my post in your reply. By all means take parts that you have a question about and use.
Did you install windows or did it come installed.
Have you checked via device manager to see if the network card is using the correct driver and not windows driver
  • Right Click the Start button located on the far left of the Taskbar.
  • Device Manager will display in the menu. Click Device Manager.
  • Click the arrow next to Network adapters
  • Right click on the network card
  • Click on properties
  • Click on driver tab and check it is the Killer E2200 driver.
  • Do the same for the wifi card.
Have you tried to play any games? Did they play ok?
If you are going to try and play games stay connected via cable. No matter what you read cable is faster
