The keyboard doesnt have any lights like mine does.
It could have lights you just might see them until the power is on.
Keep the packaging for the walmart one - you may be able to return it.
You really should have asked first.-Save money.
If the one that came with the computer does not have lights we could have got an adapter for your old one for about $2.00
i might have forgotten but does it ask me to set up the anti-virus when i turn it on and it loads, and i should say no?
It depends on how it was setup by HP
Do not stress about it.
If it pops up and ask you to run it say no.
Do you have your log in details - username and password written down for PCHelp forum ( Do NOT Post them here) so you can log in on the new computer

So i should use the keyboard that came with the comp? I guess im worried because what if the comp starts to load but the keyboard isnt working and i have no idea because of no lights. Also, will i need the speakers to be working. Finally, all i need to be plugged in is the monitor and comp, ? right? The speakers and modem are already plugged in. Anything else i need to know? all thats left is to plug the comp in the surge pro and transfer the ethernet cable. im going to go ahead and plug that in when i turn the new comp on and use my phone if i need you.

Oh, the little button on the top right is what i push to turn it on, correct?

I set up a little temp mini table for the new monitor and keyboard right next to the other table. It will be cramped, lol

You are causing yourself more worry then needed.
If it makes you more secure, to start with you can plug both keyboards into any of the front usb ports.
YES you can have 2 keyboards connected at once.
When all is being moved to final place then connect the keyboard you want.
Speakers can wait until new comp is in it's final place.
Not needed for setup.
If you like the feel of your old keyboard you can look local for on of these.
