can you download AMD GPU driver Adrenalin 22.4.1 4/5/22 from Click on me
use ddu to uninstall your current driver.
install this driver.
Test
If it still crashes
  1. Add Windows Defender Firewall exceptions.
    • Go to: (Control Panel\System and Security\Windows Defender Firewall\Allowed Apps)
    • Make sure to add and check both boxes for Origin's or the EA app’s Launcher program.
  2. Set Easy Anti-Cheat priority to low in Task Manager. (You’ll need to do this every time you launch the game if this fixes the issue.)
    • Launch Apex Legends.
    • Open Task Manager by typing CTRL + ALT + DELETE.
    • Go to the Details tab.
    • Find the Easy Anti-Cheat program.
    • Right-click and select Set priority to low.
  3. Cap your frame rate.
    • Go to your Game Library.
    • Right-click on Apex Legends and select Game Properties, then Advanced Launch Options.
    • Add the following to Command line arguments: +fps_max 60
    • You can set it lower or higher than “60” if needed.

with a fresh OS installed, the chipset drivers, and just one game - it sounds like either that game is not compatible or you have a hardware issue.
the way you describe the game just aborting to the desktop sounds like that game doesn't run on your hardware.

as to pinpointing the hardware in question, that's the needle in the haystack exercise.

fingers crossed Peter's suggestions yield results. (y)
