I am still thinking cable
Did you reboot computer when you tried black cable?
I will call for some others to have an input.

Hi Guys any ideas.
Op has no internet on desktop.
Op had already reset TCP/IP stack.
We have flushed dns
We have reset winsock
We have disabled firewall - has standard anti virus and malwarebytes
Have tested cable in laptop and works.
Have forced ip address.
Comp picks up ip address from router when using DHCP.
Ping to router fails.
Ping to laptop fails.
have checked drivers
Have uninstalled network card in device manager
Have not reset Host files
Cheers

I am sorry I have not been able to solve this with you.
I have asked some others to have a look and have given a brief description
of what was tried.
I was thinking cat 7 may be the issue as I have seen older computers
Struggle when using higher rated cables.Comment

And if it had been a problem, I figure it would have been a problem the last few years itβs been in use xD Right now Iβm leaning towards some kind ofβ¦ ****** up hardware issue?Comment
