PLEASE HELP MY AUDIO IS MESSING UP

I’ve had my Dell Inspiron 5675 Gaming PC for 2 years, the audio used to be fine, id plug my Logitech speakers in and it would be fine. Now around the summer that passed roughly, the audio started going static, and would get louder to the point no audio would come out when i’m playing games or listening to whatever it may be, sometimes one side would be static and the other side would be fine then that side would eventually be static, I’ve tried everything; restarting the PC, using headsets, using different speakers plugged into the jack, I even recently got so frustrated and reset my entire PC and wiped it, still the problem persists. It’s really just ruined my PC experience as i dont’ play my steam games ever, i just use it for you tube until the static comes to ruin everything. i fiddled wit device manger before disabling and stuff that other guides suggested and it would help then ig my PC would restart whenever i closed it and the problem reoccurred

sometimes it will be fine for like 10 minutes then it will start, theres always small background static noise even when nothings playing, please I’ve tried literally EVERYTHING I NEED SOMEONES HELP :cry: ill be forever indebted to who can help, feel free to ask any questions.

Dust build up can cause such behaviour, when was the last time that the inside was cleaned out of heat trapping dust.

other than opening up the side panel and wiping down some dust, i have’t properly cleaned it out with such tools

We will help you to check your temps and voltages and then come back to cleaning out any possible dust.

Download Speedfan and install it. Once it’s installed, run the program and post here the information it shows. The information I want you to post is the stuff that is circled in the example picture I have attached.
If you are running on a vista machine, please go to where you installed the program and run the program as administrator.

To capture and post a screenshot;

Click on the ALT key + PRT SCR key..its on the top row..right hand side..now click on start…all programs…accessories…paint…left click in the white area …press CTRL + V…click on file…click on save…save it to your desktop…name it something related to the screen your capturing… BE SURE TO SAVE IT AS A .JPG …otherwise it may be to big to upload… after typing in any response you have… click on Upload a File to add the screenshot.

We are missing important information from the screenshots, did you do them exactly as was asked in my reply #4?

The top of the HWMonitor and Speedfan results are missing for some reason :unsure:

Thanks, those screenshots are better and the temps look ok but your Dell BIOS must be interfering with the voltage readings for the MB from the PSU. can you see if they are available in the BIOS.

Please restart your computer and check the temperatures/voltages in the BIOS, no screenshot is required just make a note of the temperatures, the DRAM voltages and the +3.3V, +5V and the +12V rails on the PSU and post them with your next reply.

NB: BIOS voltage readings.

The readings are not conclusive in the BIOS as the computer is under the least amount of load, if they are higher or lower than what they should be it normally suggests a power supply problem.

how do i check them in the BIOS when i restart, sorry.

You may only find the most basic of readings in the Dell BIOS but to get there you normally press the Del or F2 key while the computer is starting, once in the BIOS you just need to have a look around to see what if anything you can find, make a note and then exit without making any changes.

Are you using a USB keyboard, if yes, do you have or can you borrow a wired PS/2 type keyboard, Dell computers are notorious for not having the USB ports enabled by default in the BIOS.
