We could do with knowing the version of Windows you are now running so that we can suggest the appropriate AV, Firewall and on demand scanner etc.

I am now using windows 7 Home Premium N

Macrium and Aoemei make excellent free versions meaning there is no excuse for nor safeguarding your operating system and files.

For security protection, MSE as already suggested, use the Firewall as well, Super Anti Spyware (free version only) and MBAM also only the free version which you can download from here make sure that you do not directly download the free 14 day trial of Premium as it also provides real time protection and will conflict with MSE and cause you problems.

Suggestion for you, as you are running Windows 7, leave installing MSE for now and just use the 14 day trial of MBAM Premium, once the trial period expires then download MSE.
