can i install from external hard drive?
It should be possible on your computer as it is pretty modern spec, too soon for you to be worrying about reinstalling anything atm as you do not even have installation media.

I have uninstall adobe c6 size 3gb but now when i restart the laptop cant switch on
What happens exactly, uninstalling Adobe would not affect your hardware.

How do i download and run theprogram
On the notebook concerned you can do neither.

From my reply #17;
Start by uninstalling any old games or unused programs and downloading then running the MBAM uninstall tool, download here once done, go to step two below;
MBAM is shown to be causing you this latest problem, it was suggested a couple of days ago that it should be uninstalled using the correct procedure at the link provided, was this done.

Try restarting the computer while tapping the F8 key to see if you are able to get into Safe Mode only (No Networking) let us know the outcome.

Regarding a clean install, the problem that you have atm is that you do not have any Windows media and the computer being an OEM brand name means that you cannot download an ISO direct from Microsoft and that Acer are responsible for offering the end user support, that is where the recovery media that plodr mentions comes in, purchasing the appropriate Windows 7 recovery media (if still available) from Acer would be far less expensive than purchasing Windows 7 from Microsoft.

Also to keep in mind, there is a question mark over the legitimacy of the present Windows 7 Ultimate OS that is on the computer, with the computer powered down, take a look on the base of the computer for an OEM - Acer Microsoft Windows 7 product key sticker like the example in the attachment below, if not on the base, remove the main battery and check there as the stickers are sometimes placed there on notebooks so that they do not get worn away.

yes. I have it at my laptop

If you cannot even get into Safe Mode then you definitely have to have Windows 7 media.

What version of Windows 7 does it say on the sticker.

You can try using the product key off the notebook to download a Windows 7 ISO from here but I strongly suspect that you may be told to contact Acer.

To get the media from Acer you will need the SNID (serial number identification) see info here

There is another way of legally obtaining an ISO but it involves a bit of work, see info at HeiDoc.net here

If you decide to get the Windows 7 media from Acer you will be asked for the SNID by them, this is so they know which version of Windows is appropriate to your particular computer.

No need to quote every reply btw, it only makes for unnecessary work for you and doesn't actually help any.

Sorry about that..

I have tried to search for the snid in tge system it shows as error..when i chat with the agent they said it is only for US and Canadian

I have request help from acer in my country through email..will updates once received reply

I got this reply from acer

"
Hi,

Pertaining to your inquiry, we found out that the serial number of your unit is over the warranty.

If the operating system is corrupted, basically we need to rebuild or restore the original pre-loaded windows.

Please carry in your device to our Service Centre nearest to you which can be found at http://www.highpoint.com.my/servicecentremap.aspx so that our skilled engineers can rectify the problem while providing you with our best support.

Thank you & have a good day."

Sounds like they are just after your money :(

Your only option now is to purchase new Windows media, you will most likely find that Windows 10 would be less expensive to purchase than Windows 7,

Any update for us toreee? This thread will be closed if not replied to within 48hrs

sorry for no updates as I don't have access to internet..i have just request my friend to format my pc and install windows..it is successful. thanks for your help. I would like to know what would be the basic apps for the new formatted windows.

Your choice of programs is purely a personal one, but given your recent experience would suggest your first app to be backup software. Macrium and Aoemei make excellent free versions meaning there is no excuse for nor safeguarding your operating system and files. Remember files that are not backed up are files you don't care about.

@toreee do you consider your original issue resolved?

Following question received via PM

I have just format my pc..now would like to get advice on what should I install to protect my pc and use for normal usage for example antivirus, microsoft office etc.

For AV protection, it depends on what version of Windows have you installed, if Windows 7 Microsoft Security Essentials

Microsoft Office costs a fair amount of money so would suggest that you take a look at Apache Open Office which is free.

We could do with knowing the version of Windows you are now running so that we can suggest the appropriate AV, Firewall and on demand scanner etc.
