i just built my gaming pc less than a week ago. After I got it all setup and starting playing, there started to be a weird noise that would happen randomly. It seems to happen every time i first start a game up, and when I close it. At first I thought it was like bearings in the gpu fan, but it sometimes makes the noise without the fans spinning, the noise is at 12 seconds into the video. Please Help.

Hi @andyparker01 and welcome to PCHF :)

What components do you have inside the chassis? Are you able to provide us with:

Case: Corsair Carbide Series Spec-02 Redshift
OS: Windows 10 Pro
RAM: 16gb G.skill (2 8gb sticks)
HD/SSD Make and Model: Toshiba 1Tb HDD, forgot the model, and a 120ish gb SSD, forgot model
Liquid/Fan CPU Cooler: Fan CPU Cooler

Hi. If you built your PC yourself, you seem pretty savvy.
Get a bit of garden hose about 15" long, to your ear, and with the side off, train the hose carefully near the components running.
Maybe you can pickup where the noise is coming from.

the noise is at 12 seconds into the video.

Sounds like bad heads on a HDD to me.

If Windows is on your SSD, try disconnecting the Toshiba HDD ** and then using the computer as you normally would to see if you still hear the same noise.

** Disconnecting just the power supply to the drive will do as we are just wanting to stop the drive from spinning up.
