You still do not have enough free storage space on the C: drive I`m afraid :( we are fighting a losing battle until the correct amount of space is freed, we are effectively trying to fix one thing when we know for sure that something else is broken.

But atm there are no headphones connected, is this correct.

Just checking but you say "via a HDMI Cable to the HDMI Port on the back of my PC" is the HDMI cable connected to the add on video card and not to the motherboard.

Have you ever downloaded the latest BIOS for your video card.

Have you noticed in Speccy that your Samsung TV is detected and that your default audio device is now shown as - Audio - Realtek High Definition Audio, no mention of AMD which if you should have if the correct drivers are installed and you are connected to the HDMI port on the R9 video card.

Will take me a while to get through the drivers list but will get back to you shortly.

EDIT: Yeah, sorry, the Windows Update used a lot of space, I'll clear up more now.

Correct, only Audio Capable device is my TV, that with the headphones is just something I saw yesterday which was strange, since as I said, before all this happened it was shown normally as headphones, not speakers in Playback (Manage Audio Devices).

I don't quite get what you mean "is the HDMI cable connected to the add on video card and not to the motherboard.", is that a question or a statement? I am not sure, I only ever connected my TV this way. It's a slot on the back of my PC for HDMI, right next to the slot for Displayport. There is no other HDMI slot/port on my PC.

Yes, I know that my Samsung TV itself is detected, as well as the TV as a Monitor, it's just not shown anywhere as an Audio Device, something it was before all this happened.

I'll upload some screenshots to show you what I mean.

Just confirming that HDMI was to HDMI and not HDMI to any other way such as HDMI to any other port via an adaptor.

Not seeing any drivers specific to your video card in your Driver View info, will come back to this shortly.

Notice that your Epson printer being the default has a green tick on it, are you able to select either of the two monitors shown on the top row as the default display.

Have you ever downloaded the latest BIOS for your video card.
Can you answer this for us please.

Oh, sorry, forgot to answer that question. No, I don't think I ever downloaded the latest BIOS, at least not on purpose. Certainly not in the near past. All I did was updating my GPU over AMD Radeon Settings.

From that menu, I am not able to select either as default.

And no, it is directly from TV over HDMI Cable to HDMI Port, no adapter or anything else, I only ever used an Adapter for Displayport to HDMI so that I can connect my TV via a second HDMI Cable to my PC since I need one HDMI Slot for the Oculus.

No problem and other info acknowledged (y)

To do;

Create a new system restore point.
Download and install the latest BIOS and Windows 7 64-bit drivers from here you only want the display and HD audio drivers and not the CCC drivers, see tutorial here provided courtesy of derekimo (y)
To set up your video card see steps 5 to 12 at the link here

Need to pop out for an hour or so but will be right back asap, meanwhile, good luck (y)

Hm, when I want to run the Bios I downloaded from the side you linked, it says I am using the wrong Windows. I upload a Screenshot of it.

I tried to install the Driver the way you wrote, this comes:

That is odd regarding the GPU BIOS but Windows should not be telling you that you have the latest drivers for your video card installed, problems will often occur when Windows gets involved in updating hardware and by installing generic drivers instead of the specific drivers for the hardware.

Starting afresh would be my suggestion;

Download Display Driver Uninstaller DDU from here

Create a new folder on your desktop and name it R9 drivers, download and save to your new folder the latest drivers for your card from here create a new restore point, uninstall the drivers for your present card using the DDU, restart the computer in Safe Mode only (no networking) install the saved drivers for the R9 card, restart and test.

Okay, so, I did it, but still no sound.

However, something curios, but when I was in safe mode, the HDMI Audio Device WAS listed under Device Manager, but now outside of Safe Mode it isn't! Is there maybe a way to see why that is if I can access it when in safe mode? And why would it appear in safe mode but not outside?

This Screenshot was from safe mode:

When you are in Safe Mode only the Windows own generic drivers are installed and none from any third party.

If not done already, restart in Safe Mode only and see if you get any sound through the TV.

No, still no sound. I updated this HDMI Audio Device Driver using the Driver from that package, it installed it and it said it finished installing the new drivers, but still nothing.

In safe mode, no playback devices are listed at all.

Running out of ideas :(

To see if this is a Windows issue download then run the Windows All in One Repair (free) from here, disregard the malware guidance but follow the other steps to the letter and in particular ensuring that you first create a new restore point and perform a proper Windows clean boot before running the repair, details for the clean boot here.

Will be going offline soon but will check back in the morning UK time.

I will do that and report back.

Should I maybe try to uninstall that HDMI Audio Device in safe mode? Maybe it'll force my PC to reinstall it or something like that. Or just disable it, restart my PC and then re-enable it?

I plugged a PS4 into my TV with HDMI, and it produces sound as usual. So I guess the problem solely lies with my PC.
I would leave as is atm until you have tried the Windows AIO repair tool as you have already confirmed that the HDMI cable and port on the TV are ok, this leaves a Windows or a driver issue imo.

Not heard back from you AugustusCaesar , do you still require assistance or is the issue now resolved, an update would be appreciated.

Ah, sorry, am colleague of mine asked me if I could take over his weekend shift for him, so I had to work the last few days and haven't had the time to do that. Tomorrow evening I'll have some free time and will do it then, and then report back!

Sorry that I didn't report back as of yet!

No worries, was just checking in with you (y)

No rush but when you do have the time could you also run Speccy again and post the updated url for us, thanks :)
