you are correct, a dedicated connection should be providing a similar download speed that you are getting on your upload speeds.
it's as if you are being throttled for some reason.

at work we recently got a dedicated fibre to the premise connection, at 200 down and 200 up.
the first couple of days after installation saw no improvement until I rang the provider and they had to reboot something their end.
Hi @Bruce. Good afternoon from the UK.

Since I last posted and replied to you, I was asked my ISP to reset the ONT (the box where the FTTP line) feeds into my home.

All done. Now I need to wait for 24 hours to see how things pan out and hopefully, settle down. Will keep you posted/updated.

Cheers. Mandeep.

Hello everyone. Good afternoon.

Since my last reply; I've reset the ONT. I've also upgraded my network card in my PC.

Things are so much better now.

A huge thanks to everyone that helped with my post. All the suggestions were really helpful. Much appreciated.

Screenshots of speed test attached.

Thanks again for all the helpful information and responses.

Mandeep.
