Hello!
So few years before I got this great ASUS gaming laptop. I'll copy paste the info I gathered on what specs I have :
Windows 10 x64
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6300HQ CPU @2.30GHz 2.30GHz
16 GB RAM

And the most important in this case- graphic cards :
Intel(R) HD Graphics 530
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M

What's the problem ?

So for like a 2 years everything was going smoothly, I played really demanding games, like new Tomb Rider, Doom etc. I also loved playing Mordhau. But after a while something went wrong. I dont recall if this was a sudden change, or if it came slowly, but I could't play Mordhau. The graphics was just horribly stuttering, it was unplayable, even on lowest settings. I could barely get through the menu! The game currently had some optimization problems, so I thought it was it and was just playing LoL and some other things. But after I while I saw, that some games seem to have similar problems. Few games for example : CS-GO, Rainbow six siege, Northgard, Path of Exile, Killing Floor 2 etc. What is strange - these are games I used to play easly on best settings, now some barely run with lowest settings, and some just dropped in performance. What is weirder, some games like LOL for example I can run on highest without any problems.

Next, what I tried to do with this situation?
I've checked task menager during Mordhau, and I saw alarmingly high GPU usage ( 95 - 99 % all the time while still in menu ! )
- I've tried to nibble around my graphic card settings, so I went to the geforce experience. It said I have update available - geForce Game ready driver. Great! It was installing, but when it restared my PC to finish the install, it showed the same exact message - that I have update available. Strange. I tried installing it few times but it was all for nothing. The geforce experience menu was really ... empty, from what I saw on YT videos about it, it had much more buttons and options than mine. Hmmm. Actually the only button I could click was the update driver button and it went nowhere.
- So, I've read some forums, I found something somewhat fitting, it said I need to uninstall the drivers with Display Driver Uninstaller. I did this, went to the nvidia page and installed the newest ones directly from there. Nothing really changed.
- There were some other minor tries on my behalf, but nothing worked.
- I went to check the Device Menager. I saw that in my Nvidia Geforce Driver there i yellow warning sign and a message " Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems (Code 43 ). ". I've looked it up and what advices I found, basicaly said that I must reinstall the drivers with DDU ( which I did earlier ).

Now I don't know If I did something wrong, I missed something or is there an easy explanation to what is happening. Anyway I'll be really thankful if you happen to know the answer. And sorry for my english if I made mistakes.

Hello Valhalla12345,

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

We can see a couple of problems in Speccy but the two most important need to be addressed first and for good reason as is explained below;

Partition 1
Partition ID: Disk #1, Partition #1
Disk Letter: C:
File System: NTFS
Volume Serial Number: 8E892661
Size: 237 GB
Used Space: 187 GB (79%)
Free Space: 49 GB (21%)

For Windows to be able to run efficiently and to be able to update you need to have between 20 and 25% of the partition or drive available as free storage space at all times, if you don`t you risk Windows becoming corrupt or not being able to update which puts you at risk of malware attack.

Troubleshooting computer problems is a waste of time when it is known that Windows is out of date as any one of a number of the missing hot fixes could be the solution to any problem that you may be having.

Data only storage devices should not be allowed to get any lower than 10% of free storage space of the full capacity of the drive/partition on the drive, this also to avoid data corruption.

Please note that storage devices can physically fail if the amount of free storage space is allowed to drop below the required 10 or 20/25% minimum.

Uninstall as many unused programs, games, videos and music files as you can, because you have so many missing updates and some are quite big you need to free up a fair bit more, once you have between 28 and 30% free storage on the C: drive/partition go here to download and install the latest version 1909 of Windows, be sure to read and choose the correct option for the install.

Once the above has been done we can address the poor video performance.
