This is correct you would have seen this before
have a look at this video from 6:25 minutes - 7:25 minutes only.
It will ask you how to install and you choose TRY.
If in doubt do nothing & post back.
Click on me
So you are saying it's ok? Let it do that? I stopped in the middle of it. Should I be able to just press option key and do this over?

I did nothing. It was default on try I think. This is where it stopped on its own

Correct
Follow the bouncing ball and it will give the try option
When you get ubuntu desktop
on the left click on files
then other locations
you should see your Hard drive and ssd (fingers crossed)
can you access the hdd and copy files to ssd

I am starting to get nervous. Do you want me to plug in new Seagate solid drive I got?
This is picture now. You want me to put it on try ubuntu? And then keep going?

plug in ssd -
click on TRY ubuntu
When you get ubuntu desktop
on the left click on files
then other locations
you should see your Hard drive and ssd (fingers crossed)
can you access the hdd and copy files to ssd

click on users
can you see your name
click on that
see if you can find documents etc
Ok, yes. I think I see everything. I mostly stored stuff on desktop. But I dont want to accidentally miss something. So can I literally just copy that whole folder with my name to the Seagate drive? That would encompass all my personal files?

sent you IM
should I try individual subfolders one level inton my name folder?

Okay, I got the applications folder copied over. Probably don't need that one. Then I got this error. I don't even recognize it as anything of mine. Should I hit skip on ones I don't recognize and see if I can push through?
