I have all my booksmarks in emails to myself. I guess that will have to do. Looking at all these wires and stuff has me totally overwhelmed

What about passwords
you should only have
Power cord going from powerboard to computer - you can just unplug from computer and re-use (should be same connection)
Network cable - unplug from computer end only
Speakers - unplug and leave ready to replug into new computer
KB and mouse.
Monitor unplug 1 from computer and 1 from powerboard.

Take your time and do not rush.

Did the monitor come with a stand that needs to be attached?
Do that first and plug in power cord and hdmi cable- cam in the box only 1 place to plug it in so can't go wrong

There is some kind of silver metal thing that came in the monitor box, that might be a stand. I wish i could use this monitor. Im going to just try try and figure all this stuff out tonight. Wish i could pay for all your expenses to come here, lol. First question i have is one only a stupid person would ask. Im not sure if the new comp is upside down or not. There is an HP LOGO on the bottom right. Is that the part of the comp that should be on the ground? There is a green and blue hole on the top right, or left depending on which way i look right over where the monitor hooks up. I assume thats where the speakers go, do i use use the green or blue hole?. On my comp now they plug in in the middle it looks like

Yes

Green

Do you have enough room to set them up side by side? for now.
It really is easy The plugs only go one way - no force.
There is plenty of room for the speakers on the table. Im just worried if the power cord to the monitor is long enough to reach from the floor to the monitor and if the hdmi cable will reach from the comp to the monitor

If you look at the power to the monitor you will see that it has a power brick.
With the length of the cord on the power brick - unwind it and the length on the power cord- unwind it.
It should be enough.
Dangle the hdmi cable next to current monitor and comp does it reach?

It looks like it will. Is the power cable the one with the 3 prong thing and the hdmi cable the one with a square silver thing on each end?

Something isnt making sense. In the back of the comp there is a place to screw in the monitor cable. Its similar to how mine is now. Neither end of the hdmi cable with the sqaure silver things on both ends will fit

There is another hole under the hole i think is for the hdmi cable. Maybe that is where it plugs into. I thought i could use the comp i have now as a guide. Thats not working out.
