Your logs indicate you already have the latest flash player installed..

Have a look in addons/plugins and make sure flash is not set to "Never activate"

Are these issues happening to any of the other users on that system or is it just one of them?

Try downloading the flash player from here. Take the checks out of Optional Offers
get.adobe.com/flashplayer

Click Install Now
You can Ither Run or Save then install at your leasure.
It's just the same result - I have no problem downloading the program but then cannot install it. I click on the exe file but nothing happens. I never get as far as the attached window - it never appears.

Adobe says it is loaded but when I run their check the 'brief animation' to confirm it doesn't appear

I've looked in the Firefox addons/plugins page although not really sure what I'm doing there. No mention of Flash there

It will be listed under Plugins.
Yes, sorry copied the wrong page. There is no Flash there. Is shockwave or silverlight the same thing? I chose Always Activate for everything in sight but it hasn't made any difference.

I also noticed that on the Adobe Flash help page they had solutions for problems for all Windows OSs right back to windows 95 & XP but do not mention Vista going on the windows 7. Maybe they've given up on Vista because it was so bad!!

No they are not. They basically do the same thing.

Your security software could be blocking Flash player form being installed. Disable 360 Total Security and any other security software and then try the install again and see it that allows it to go through. If it does or does not then re-enable it.

Also you could download Revo from HERE and install it. That will tell us wether or not you can install software. If Revo installs open it and have a look in the list of software for Adobe flash or Shockwave in the list. If one or both are there uninstall them, and then try to reinstall flash.

EDIT POST, sorry I should have looked properly. It appears you already have Revo so see if the apps above are listed and if so use it to remove them.

You also only have a little over 10% of your system drive as free space, not saying it's your issue here but it sure will help your system to remove some apps you don't use.

You do know that you need a flash plugin for Internet Explorer and a different one for Firefox.

I suspect you keep trying to download the IE one and not the FF one.

Grab it from this link for non-IE browsers, except Chrome
Code:
http://download.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/install_flash_player_24_plugin.exe

And just in case you need it, this will uninstall Flash
Code:
http://download.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/support/uninstall_flash_player.exe

I did try with 360 disabled but still have the same problem.
I'll remove some programmes to free up space then try Revo.

I'm not sure which programmes I don't need and can remove. There are loads of Microsoft ones there but I've no idea if they are doing anything useful!
Apart fron the Microsofy Office progs, the ones I do need are:
Basic PAYE Tools, Canon Printer & Navigator & Scan, Dropbox, Gimp, Samsung Kies & Smartswitch, VLC.
Can you tell me what is essential & I can get rid of the rest.

Same problem with Revo. I can download but can't install. I do already have Revo on this machine - downloaded July 2015 - but if I can't install Revo it seems unlikely that I will be able to reinstall Flash.

What browser are you using to download Flash form the Adobe site?

Have you tried uninstalling form Programs and Features?

Before you click Download to download flash player Post a screen shot.

Let me go through the list and get back to you.

Since you have it do not worry about installing another version.

Did you have any luck with safe mode?

PrivaZer (HKLM\...\PrivaZer) (Version: 3.0.12.0 - Goversoft LLC)
Defiantly remove PrivaZer is a cleaning program that can remove registry entries and other files that should not be messed with may have done so in turn causing they system to become unstable like it is now.

Do you have the Microsoft Vista disk for the system. Not system restore the actual Vista install disk.
If you do then will strongly suggest a repair install.

Revo Uninstaller portable
http://portableapps.com/apps/utilities/revo_uninstaller_portable

Doesn't require an install. You can run it off a stick or a folder on your desktop. All you have to do is unpack it.

If the computer refuses to do that then get someone else to unpack it from his/her computer onto a USB stick for you and use it from the stick.

He already has Revo installed, listed in his previous log file. He hasn't said he's tried to use it?
