My PC keeps losing internet connection even though I'm connected to my router via Ethernet cable and wifi. The actual internet router isn't losing connection because my phone still has a wifi connection. This has been happening everyday for probably 2 or 3 weeks now and happens multiple times a day.
Speccy Report: Speccy report

Ethernet cable and wifi.
Why
Step 1) Turn off wifi
Step 2) Test
Step 3) Click on the windows icon in the task bar
Type in cmd
Select the command prompt app.
Open the cmd prompt
Step 4) Copy and paste ipconfig /all >"%userprofile%\desktop\ipconfig.txt" Press Enter
This will put a txt file on your desktop.
If you still have a problem with just the wire connected post the text file in your next reply.

okay I'll do that. The reason I'm using both WiFi and ethernet is because I use the WiFi for connecting my phone and PC to transfer files and my printer is setup using WiFi. I have my PC connected via ethernet because I have gigabit fiber and want to be able to take full advantage of it.

After disabling wifi it seems to have solved the issue. i haven't had any random internet disconnections. A few weeks ago i saw that my mobo had a updated driver for the mediatek wifi adaptor so i downloaded and installed it. i was gettting disconnections literally every 10-30 seconds after installing the new driver. i went ahead and rolled back the driver and thought it solved it but obviously it didn't totally solve it. My printer is an Epson XP-446 connected via wifi. I'm not sure if it was losing wifi connection when I was losing internet connection.

update, spoke to soon it just did it again 3 times in a row, it disconnected for a few seconds reconnected, disconnected for a few second, reconnected. I tried doing that ipconfig cmd prompt thing just now but it said "the system could not find the path specified"

Did you open cmd prompt - not the run command?
Open command prompt
Type in ipconfig / all
press enter

Scroll down and take a screen shot of your ip address - sample attached.
To take a screen shot press the window and Prtscn key together.

Are you sure your wifi was still disabled?

yes wifi is disconnected. I've attached the screenshots. Also I went ahead and ordered a new ethernet cable just incase it's my cable that is causing the disconnections. The cable arrives tomorrow.

Okay, I'll give that a try when I get home from work. One thing though, you should know about an hour ago I got a text from AT&t saying that my internet connection went out and that I should schedule a technician to come out and take a look at it. So I scheduled a technician to come out and look at it tomorrow between noon and 4:00 p.m. so I'm guessing that is probably what was causing all my issues. Although my issues were intermittent outages for a few seconds, it appears now that the internet is just out for good. I have had issues in the past with this AT&t fiber internet. The first problem I had was about a year ago and the technician that came out took a look at the box on the utility pole in my back alley and said that the box needed to be replaced because it was full of ice. This was during winter. As far as I know the box never did get replaced.

The AT&T Tech replaced my router and that seems to have solved the problem I was having. Hopefully. Maybe leave this thread open for a few more days just incase it starts happening again?
