Hi, got a custom built pc. Ebay motherboard/ram/processor. Free SSD/PSU/GPU off a random forum. HDD (can't recall); So various aged secondhand components (idk if that matters?)
A friend built it, I know nothing about PC builds.
I don't know what is and isn't relevant info so please bare with me if I haven't included something or have included irrelevant info.
I'm also autistic so can come across as blunt/rude/difficult without realising or meaning too - apologies if I am any of these things.

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.40 GHz
Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980
Kingston HyperX 32.0 GB (31.9 GB usable) DDR3 - 1600 C10
(Motherboard) - Gigabyte GA-H87-HD3
Toshiba SSD 223gb
500gb HDD (but speedfan says it 0% fitness so I've removed and am replacing)
CPU fan is intel delta
Windows 10 Home
64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

I don't know the PSU info but am going to get my friend to open the PC and tell me and I'll update the post. (sorry)

PROBLEM;
--PREVIOUS-- SSD & HDD
- Originally the chipset updated drivers were missing which caused the mouse to not work on TW3 and TS3 (games) and the PC to be sluggish. And various games were crashing/failing to install halfway through.
I've sinced updated them which resolved the mouse issues/Sluggish.
- Games fail to install fully on the HDD (however the HDD works fine when in my friend's PC)

--CURRENT-- only SSD in PC
Sims 2 crashes soon after opening/black screen then crash - displays crash notification but not everytime. (TS3 works fine)
GOG galaxy uninstalled upon reboot. but TW3 runs in backround but won't open but says game is running when i reclick to open???
Steam uninstalled a game upon reboot.
BDO (on steam) worked one day but on reboot it wont open now.
SSD showed games on Add/Remove programs and let me uninstall them however they were installed on the HDD (removed)

ADDITIONAL INFO -
Speed fan says all components are good temps and SSD is in perfect conditon.
I know how to retrieve error logs if anyone requests them but I did a clean install of windows so don't have error reports of the previous issues (i know im dumb I should have saved them)

PLEASE someone help me fix my PC I'm losing my mind & as I'm sorry if I've given too much info/irrelevant info/rambled
Thankyou!

Hello

What are the complete psu spec's? Also we understand about the Autistic Situation .. As we are spread out around the world our response time will vary.

PSU is AE series 650w A65E

Also the PSU and GPU were tested to see if they work in my friend’s PC and they did (that’s pre building my PC)

Forgot to mention, some apps on and off crash/won’t display/freeze the pc and I have to power off at the button. ( like EA / steam and various windows things)

And multiple times when I’ve clicked shut down it just logs me out or says it’s shutting down, and has no display but the lights stay on and it won’t shut down and I have to power off with the power button

Let's get some more information:

Download and run the free version of speccy.

Once you have ran speccy, follow the instructions to upload a snapshot found here.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:
  1. In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.
  2. In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.
  3. Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot dialog box. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

You don't specify if the games crash or Windows crashes, are you taken to the desktop from your games or does it power down?

Your PSU is no good, all of AeroCool's units are rated very poorly, you'd want a 550W 80+ Gold unit from a decent manufacturer, can't guarantee this is the issue, but crashing is a common sign of a junk PSU. Does your friend have a better model to test the system with?

As far as files not saving, could be a failing drive, it's hard to tell with used parts, but the Speccy should get us some more information on that front.
