BSOD

I hope this is the right place to post this.

This BSOD started this morning to the point where it won’t boot up the windows. So I tried a few solutions from youtube(including Reset this PC, but it got stuck at loading after the Reset was done) and the Recovery worked(or so I thought). After a while the BSOD attacked again so I did the Recovery one more time because it was the only way to get back into the windows.

So here I am looking for help. I know I did some tweak on the registry before the BSOD started(a guide I found on a website), but I made a restore point and that Restore Point was the one I used for Recovery. But somehow the BSOD was still there.

Please help.

Do you have the link to the site where you got the registry tweak from?

=============>Upload your dump files <==========

Get System Info Log.

Include in your next reply a Get System Info log.
Save it to your desktop when complete.
Once you have the file on your desktop, then upload it here, and Here.
Copy the URL after your report is loaded.
Then send us the link.

Speccy Scan.

I couldn’t find Minidump folder in C:/Windows. Is that normal?
This link is from Speccy, http://speccy.piriform.com/results/Z...n3OQYyhRyaAlP2

I just experienced another BSOD, so I went to find the Minidump and I found the folder.

Mamba,

Moved your thread to the more appropriate forum and deleted your external video as it served no purpose other than to potentially spam the forum.

Use only the method below for uploading crash dmps.
1. Copy any dmp files from C:\Windows\Minidump onto the desktop.
2. Select all of them, right-click on one, and click on Send To> New Compressed (zipped) Folder.
3. Upload the zip folder using the Attach button, bottom left of the dialogue input box

Will take a look at Speccy while you do the above, can you also post the brand and model name or number of the PSU for us.

There is only one dump file in the Minidump folder.

PSU:
ATX power supply AcBel iPower 85 550 PCA013
80PLUS BRONZE
500W

So can we have it using the method that I provided.

The PSU is complete garbage, so bad that it can only actually produce 303W and that is questionable, if you want proof of how bad it is go here got to love the reply #3 there.

Looking at Speccy we can see a couple of red flags;
Operating System
Windows 11 Home 64-bit
Computer type: Desktop
Installation Date: 6/12/2022

There were no system drivers shown to have been installed straight after Windows was.
Power Profile
Active power scheme: High performance

Change the Windows Power Plan to Balanced, Ultra and High Performance are a form of overclocking that is known to cause stability and overheating issues, the setting should only be used for gaming type notebooks that have a discrete GPU that needs the extra power, btw, a weak PSU such as the one that you have will get hotter and weaker the more that you use it.
CCleanerSkipUAC - pc
Process Lasso Management Console (GUI)

Why are you using the above two programs, one has the potential to hose the Windows registry and the other the potential to hose both the OS and your hardware.

I have attached the dump file.
So I will have to buy a new PSU, noted. This was a secondhand PC that I bought and I had no idea what was good and bad haha.

I found Process Lasso from some guide showing how to improve apps performance, should I remove it?
I used ccleaner for registry cleaner, is that bad? Sorry I am not PC expert, bought this just to play games.

Your crash dmp does not blame any drivers but it does flag up a Watchdog Violation namely clock ticks, this may well be a result of you messing with Process Lasso which likewise messes with CPU settings amongst other things.

Both of the above are taken care of in my canned info below;
You will not see anything like this recommended on any reputable forum, they are at best a gimmick and at worse a danger to the operating systems registry, it is an old article but the author is still highly respected and tbh Ive not seen it explained better than at the miekiemoes’ Blog here

Your first priority is to get an appropriate PSU, if you are going to keep the PC long term spend more for a Gold efficiency rated 500W PSU from either EVGA or Seasonic.

I strongly recommend that you do not do any gaming until an appropriate PSU in place.

I see, I will remove those 2 apps and get a new PSU asap. Thank you!

You are welcome but before you go can you just confirm that you have changed the Windows Power Plan to Balanced.

Yes I have changed it. Anyway I had another BSOD again so I will just attach the dump here.
I will stop playing games for now. I will update after I get a new PSU.

Same cause of the crash as before but this time there were more errors.

Any idea as to how long it will take to obtain an appropriate PSU.
