I added both the .txt and the .arn file in the zipped folder
I also deleted everything I could find on autoruns with avast in it and restarted but doesn’t seem like it made a difference, I’m still seeing avast on speccy.

For some reason I couldn’t get an edit button on any of my replies, I wanted to just edit the last one. I read what you said before about editing instead of making a new reply

Quite a few Avast entries there and you need to delete them all, see the To Disable or Delete? info here for how to get rid of them safely.

Check in your browser plug ins, it could be hiding in there.

We din`t use ARN either btw.

I checked every browser and can’t find anything. Yesterday I had an avast addon on firefox and uninstalled it, maybe something is still there?

My responses are going to be quite slow for the next hour or two

Try reinstalling Google then check again, we may need a malware expert if we cant get rid of it.

No problem about any delay, I will be going offline in a little over over an hr.

Try a Windows reset, see info here, be sure to select the Reinstalls Windows 10 and keeps your personal files option.

Did that and now Avast doesn’t show up on Speccy and so far I haven’t noticed stuttering or anything like that.

Great news, now that the computer is running stable, create a new system restore point and be sure to create one before updating or installing any new software.

Give it a couple of days to see how things go, if we don`t hear back from you we will mark your thread as solved if that is ok with you.
