I was still starting to lag after a while, seems like it’s the audio crackling first then after a while eveyhting starts too stutter.
I haven’t been able to try too much after uninstalling the AV so I’d have to try it for a bit to see if anything has changed.
I restarted after uninstalling Avast and took this speccy
That type of behaviour is normally hardware and either heat or electrical related
Still seeing Avast in Speccy and just so that you are aware this is the third time in the past week or so that I have seen this issue with Avast, both of the other two incidents have had to be moved to malware removal forums.
How did you uninstall Avast, in the Control Panel or using the clean removal tool at the link that was provided.
I remember installing malwarebytes, I was going to let it scan for something, cant remember why. I was going to unistall it straight after.
I think I’ll do that now
Lets see if we can catch Avast and anything else another way, uninstall what we use as and when you see fit.
Post an Autoruns log for us, see here
1: Extract the Autoruns Zip file contents to a folder.
2: Double-click the “Autoruns.exe”.
3: Click on the "Hide Signed Microsoft and Windows Entries” option.
4: Go to File then to Export As or Save in some versions.
5: Save AutoRuns.txt file to known location like your Desktop > when you click on File > Save you will then get the option to Save as type, click the drop down tab, change it to Text and then click the Save button.
6: Attach to your next reply.

Select it, click on Send To> New Compressed (zipped) Folder.
Upload the zip folder using the Attach button, bottom left of the dialogue input box
[COLOR=rgb(41, 105, 176)]Tip
If using a computer and not a mobile phone, please avoid adding multiple posts while waiting for us to reply to your last, edit your last post to include anything that you wish to add, this will ensure nothing gets overlooked which can sometimes happen if a thread has more than one page, it avoids filling up folks inbox and last but not least it amounts to bumping your thread which puts folk to the bottom of any reply list.
[COLOR=rgb(41, 105, 176)]Edit to add: See the To Disable or Delete? info at the link here then go back and delete all the Avast entries in Autoruns, then restart, run Speccy and check to see if Avast has gone.
