my dell optiplex wont detect my other 2 ssd's

had a similar problem on my last dell but the same solution didnt work this time
this is a tiny optiplex 790
comes with a 250gb ssd
but i plugged in 2 additional 250gb ssd’s
the psu is 500watts (upgrade)
the last time i had this problem i went into bios and switched from “ahci” to “ata”
windows 10 didnt boot 2x
so i switched back to “ahci” and the ssd’s were detected
this time it didnt work…the only other option in bios is “disabled”

Need complete make and model of all parts including the PSU.

If the system boots a speccy report would help.

Have you tried disconnecting the drives boot then reconnect and boot sometimes that clears the BIOS.

Also see if it helps to connect one at a time get it configured then connect the second.

you mean disconnect the ssd’s and reboot ?

Turn off computer
Hold shift key and use shutdown.
Disconnect both extra drives.
Boot
Shutdown holding the shift key.
Connect 1 drive only and check bios.
If 2nd drive shows up in bios boot to windows
Does 2nd drive show in windows.

If 2nd drive does not show in bios
change data cable
Check bios

sorry i rebooted without holding the shift key… the pc crashed so while it was off i just pulled out the 2 ssd’s

SOLVED… it was my stupidity the whole time… the original psu of the optiplex 790 is still in the case (krazy glue or something) and i used those power cables for the 2 ssd’s
booted into ata 2x and boom, ssd’s are there, sorry for wasting your time on this issue
