The comp i have now is 13 years old and i think it had internet explorer to begin with. Will the new comp come with a browser and is there a way to save my bookmarks in firefox and downlaod them to the new browser?

During the last day i have been copying and pasting some of my favorites to an email to myself in AOL mail so if a get a new comp i can pull up my email and be able to click on the links but i cant figure how how to save my bookmarks in any other way.

And thanks about the set up once i turn the comp on. The problem is all the wires that connect from the ground and surge protector. I have looked on the back of new comps and they look very different from mine. Thata why i will need to pay someone.

can you take a photo of your current setup at the back and post it here.
They really have not changed that much in 30 odd years

If i get one from best buy they charge $149 to install it. I hope making a back up will be included.

On this comp i think it came with norton but my friend said norton screws up the comp and we took it off and put on avast free. Is that the best free anti-virus?

If you get a new computer, The AV that comes with it is the best to use. You won’t need a 3rd party AV.

Do you know of any computer repair shops that are locally owned? This would be better than Best Buy.
Also, if you have a High School or local Technical College, they may have a co-op programs that will allow computer students to do the work you need at a fraction of the cost.
