Can you reset the modem - router to factory settings.
Also have another Ethernet cord to test with?
Try plugging the computer directly into modem bypassing the router.
Sorry for the short response, Iβm not at my computer.Comment

Sorry the formatting on my last reply was messed up. You have to click βClick to expandβ¦β to see my reply :cautious:
Some additional information. I downloaded and ran pingplotter:
It says that there is packet loss at my default gateway as well as a couple of servers that look like are Verizonβs. I get these results every time I run PP and the packet loss happens constantly.
Is this symptomatic of there being an issue with my ISP or connection, or is there a good reason why this could be happening?Comment

Iβm reading information from Ping Plotterβs website:
Compare your PingPlotter results against a list of common network problems to diagnose an internet connection problems and learn how to fix it.
And it says that the following image is what a network with a hardware failure looks like.

And now, my results from PP:

So based on my limited understanding of the subject, Iβm thinking I could have a hardware problem. I will see if I can follow their guide on further diagnosis. Additionally, I was also thinking my LAN card could be having problems, maybe electrical interference so I recently bought an external LAN card, however it doensβt fit in my case so I will have to pick up a new case for my PC before trying it.Comment

Have you tried resetting the router modem and other suggestions I posted? I have never used the program you mention, so I can not advise on that.Comment

if you logged into the router config page (192.168.1.1) and clicked on the reset options in there, that should have done it.
when you are in the config menu, what does it say is the make/model of the router?
so thereβll be cables (ethernet) coming out of it and going to PCβs, are there any that go to other hardware boxes?
if you reset it, you would have reset the wireless settings back to default and if it really is a modem as well, you probably would have had to re-enter your Providers login details?
did you need to do any of that?Comment

The factory reset didnt prompt any of our devices such as cellphones to re-enter the password.Comment

if the default settings were never changed, that is, the login password and the wifi details, then the factory reset would have put them back to the same so nothing would have changed on that front.
is this the unit in question; Review: Verizon G3100 WiFi 6 Mesh RouterComment
