Since I’ve changed to wireless (I think that’s about when the issue started), my connection hangs every few minutes for maybe 1-3 seconds. I have no idea what could be causing this, so I don’t even know where to start trouble shooting. The wireless USB adapter is only about 1 metre from the wireless router (though through a wall).
I’m using Windows 10, and a TP-LINK TL-WN821N USB adapter.
Furthermore, on average probably once a day, my connection on my PC will drop entirely. Generally chrome will say either “There is no internet connection” or say that a DNS test has begun. But some of the time, I can stay connected to Steam, continue sending messages, and Twitch streams won’t stop either… I just can’t open additional websites. Recently, every now and then I’ve noticed too that Facebook takes FOREVER to load on both my phone when on wifi and my PC on the same wifi. Disconnecting and using 4g on my phone makes things load normally again. This suddenly stopped after making a reddit thread about it ( )
I consider myself pretty tech-savvy, but honestly this entire thing has me entirely stumped. I truly have no idea whatsoever what’s causing all range of these issues. Over the past few months I’ve posted a few reddit threads about all of the issues but have never really solved any of it. I am at the point I’d probably be willing to pay for someone to solve this.
The most recent thread I posted about the connection drop outs was this one ( ) where I tried changing DNS, but that has solved nothing.
I understand here that I’m potentially asking people to diagnose multiple different, potentially unrelated issues. Any help would still be appreciated.
