I’m in Australia, we use the logical date format (DD/MM/YYYY) instead of the backwards American version lmao

          Lets run some basic commands.
Open a Command Prompt and type the following commands, pressing Enter after each command.

          ipconfig /release
          ipconfig /renew
          ipconfig /flushdns
          ipconfig /registerdns
          netsh int ipv6 reset
          netsh int ipv4 reset
          netsh winsock reset

          Reboot the computer

Test for a bit and see if still happening.

Browse for a while and let us know how things are going.

Also since this is a USB device have you tried other USB ports to see if there is any difference?

After a restart I played a game of dota where the same hanging issue kept happening. Every couple of minutes the game would kind of pause for 2-3 seconds. So far the internet hasn’t dropped entirely just yet but I do expect that will happen anyway. I will try another USB port.

You didn’t post the full network test but it does show you have a very short lease for dhcp you need to login to router and increase it to a week. It also shows other stations with a signal of 100% which will wipe you out you need to change the channel on the router to a clear one and keep checking as the others may change theirs so you would be back in the same situation.

Hey I’m trying to set up a DHCP lease in my router page, but since I’m on wifi is my MAC address my Ethernet physical address (from ipconfig /all) or is it my Wireless LAN adapter physical address?

Also I am running all the tests now, thanks for the help.

p.s. I don’t understand what you meant by the other devices having 100% signal thing. What do I do about that?

I am currently running the necessary scans. Here are the logs so far.

I’m trying to change my DHCP lease in my router, but see no options for time limits or anything.

I have added my current mac/IP as you can see but not sure if that’s all I need to do there?

And I gather I should change my router channel to something else, but since my PS4 is right next to me that will just update too and I will end up in the same situation. Right?

@Rustys, modem is Netgear β€œTelstra Gateway Max” (C6300BD-1TLAUS)
