I have a problem over about the past ten days with email not being sent. I use Outlook as the front end and Yahoo-ATT.net as the back end. Emails will be sent and then suddenly the next email wonβt be sent. I repeat the process of cancelling the sending, opening the email and trying to send it again. After doing this four or five times the email is sent. And them the next few emails go without a problem. Virus/malware/spyware scans have been run.
I Googled Yahoo support (they donβt have any anymore ) and found a third-party website Contact Email Support, advertising Yahoo ATT email support. He started a session on my machine, did some footwork in DOS, displayed a list of something with IP addresses, some werenβt mine and said my email was hacked and therefore Yahoo was delaying my email sometimes. Frankly, I wasnβt comfortable with his fast analysis. He then βrecommendedβ an βanti-hacking Level-6 network certified engineerβ Right Tech Solution who would βun-hackβ my machines and install β7 layer online network security v6.2β to protect it. I spoke to someone from there. He may be legitimate but he sounded very smooth. It would cost $400 ($500 if I delayed and he had to do the βdiagnosisβ that the 3rd party had done all over again).
And I couldnβt find and reviews of his company in Google. I am not at all comfortable with this, nor sure if I should even believe the βhacking diagnosisβ.
I would appreciate any advice, suggestions or comments about the problem and about how to go about determining to whom to go to analyze and fix whatever the issue is.
Thank you
