What DRM are you playing the game through? Steam, Epic, GOG?

This is my laundry list, it’s a good starting point for troubleshooting and should get you an idea what’s going on:
    1. Try running the following programs, also try to keep at least 20-25% of your disks as free space.

Run Disk Cleanup (check all the boxes) this will delete things such as your recycling bin, so make sure you don’t have any files you want to keep.

Run Defragment and Optimize Drives, run this on your drives.
    1. Disable any overclocking or changes to power/performance settings

Turn off XMP/any overclocking you may have done (if any)

Settings > System > Power and sleep > Additional power settings
Make sure your power plan is set to balanced, anything else could tamper with the wrong settings and cause issues.
    1. Check for Operating System Corruption

Right click on the Windows logo in the bottom left and select Windows Powershell (Admin)
    Run these three commands separately:

    sfc /scannow

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

These will take a while to run, do not close out of Powershell while they are running, if one fails then move onto the next and then loop back around.

Note: It doesn’t hurt to make a system backup before you make all these changes, save any important files of folders. While these changes shouldn’t cause any issues, better to be safe than sorry.
    1. Unplug unnecessary devices.

If you have a gamepad, extra monitor, external hard drive/flash drive, or anything that is not essential to using the computer plugged in, unplug it.

Once you have completed all of these tasks, restart it (using the restart option in the power menu) and re-test.
I use steam mostly, but this happens in every launcher i’ve used. FIFA redirects from steam to origin.
I’ve now done all of the listed suggestions, I’ll link to a txt document of the powershell diagnostics aswell, but nothing interesting. Unfortunately though, I (as usual ???) had no luck with any of the suggestions. ???

besides what @Pyro suggested (do all of that)
get off one drive - sign out.
It will keep syncing and cause problems.
Just as a reminder when you do a fresh install
      Download all your drivers
      Install windows
      Install all drivers
      THEN connect to the internet

Do you have dual graphics- say Intel + NVidia? If yes then ensure the games are using the NVidia graphics.

That would be all the drivers from ASUs + NVIDIA correct? or are there more?

I think I have internal graphics too, if that’s what you mean. But I don’t thihk it’s using the wrong one since the framerate is generally good.

No you do not have the CPU does not support this.
Find and compare detailed product specifications for AMD products including processors, graphics cards, server accelerators, embedded processors.

I’m thinking I might rent a pc with similar specs, and then test if it will stutter as well with the same software and peripherals. If not, then i’ll swap out part for part until I find the part thtat’s causing me issues. Do you think this is a reasonable solution @Pyro @Bruce @PeterOz ? Or is there something else you’d like me to test first.???

I’m wondering if it is a windows 11 issue.
Do you have a drive you can install win 10 to test

Are you running NTFS file compression?

Yes internal graphics. While the frame rate is good if the game is using the internal graphics rather than the dedicated this can cause gameplay problems. I would open the NVidia graphics settings & manually change the gameβ€˜s settings to use the NVidia card.

I was wrong initially about the internal graphics. The CPU apparently does not have integrated graphics.

Not that I am aware of. It was not enabled

I don’t think I am. I checked the properties menu too, but it was not enabled. For the other question. I am not sure if windows 11 is causing these issues. I recall having problems on windows 10 as well, but it’s been some time so I don’t remember how it was there.

How long is it since you upgraded?
Is your PC Windows 11 compatible?

If you only have nVidia then the game should be using that GPU. I would double check this under the nVidia control panel.

late 2020 i built the pc. It is running windows 11, have been running windows 10 as well. problems on both. Only thing is the cables are from my old pc from 2015, the rest is from 2020.

Was Win 11 offered via Windows update or did you manually upgrade? Or did you try Windows 10 to see if the problem remained?
