So I am not sure what happened now. Since the safe mode, the PC has been acting even worse in normal mode. I open firefox, microsoft edge, opera gx, any web browser and I try to go to the link Malnutrition added, when I try to go to pchelpforum all browsers loss connection and ask me to refresh. Is there any way someone can remote access the pc? I’m not sure if that is allowed or easier.

*Side note, for some reason the display settings were set to 164hz refresh rate, even though the monitor caps out at 120. Just strange I guess.

I don’t see a display option with small or large icons. It’s not there at all. Could it be because of Nvidia control panel?

That brings up the new display settings. There’s no option for troubleshooting nor anything mentioning hardware acceleration in advanced display settings

The problem with that is the same with what you said earlier. Even in advanced display settings, I have no option for troubleshooting… Advanced display settings just shows me β€œChoose Display”, Display Information", and β€œRefresh Rate”. The right hand side only shows β€œGet Help” and β€œGive Feedback”.

I’m just not sure how with a clean install, I still have this many issues. I just got a BSOD of WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR. Maybe its a lot of driver issues? That’s the only reason I can think that would explain why it runs fine in safe mode. But I dont even know what drivers are possibly bad.

I might attempt what this says about disabling drivers in safe mode, as safe mode is the only thing that works fine. What are your thoughts?

Ok, I wasn’t sure if the steps is says to take are reasonable or not. I had work earlier and let it idle in safe mode, and it has been on for about 9 hours without any issues in safe mode.

just going to step in quickly…

without reading all the previous posts, have you done a clean install of Windows?
with the rig running so well for so long in Safe Mode suggests it is a software issue, probably a driver.

I would backup my data and nuke the drive.
get Windows working and updated, chipset drivers and modo drivers.
run it a few days and see if the BSoD issues are gone.

then… add one thing at a time, like the GPU driver, then run the rig a while again.
if all good, then install some other software, Office maybe, and repeat running the rig again.

if the issue is software/driver based, eventually you’ll get your error again and we can blame the last thing loaded.
