Might be the fact that I do not have a Wlan card in my PC? xD And yes, I am still connected to the internet.

What exactly should I be changing with the ShutUp thingy? Should I just do all the changes that the program recommends?

Also, saw that after the HijackThis fix I got a lot of programs that no longer start with Windows.
I don’t mind for the most of them, but may I re-enable some of them though? The ones I need are: Steam; UPlay; HWMonitor and WallpaperEngine.

Your choice, I just suggest this program for users.

Yes, that is the point of this entire operation, to see if losing these items will stop the freeze issue.

You can start these at anytime by double clicking onto the application. Think of it like this, do you really need them all running at once? Same concept of having lights on in a room in your house that you are not in. Sure it’s easier to walk into a lighted room, but is it really hard to flip the switch when you enter or exit.
These programs are just running in the back round using energy.

You can reenable what you like, but I’d at least keep these settings for a couple of days. If you do not have any freezes, then try and enable one at a time run the machine as normal for a few days… This is all part of the trouble shooting process.

So… from this point, use your machine as you usually do … Report any issues.

Steam is the thing that I do on my PC 90% of the time, WallpaperEngine is.. my wallpaper and HWMonitor shows me the temps, I always like to keep an eye out for the CPU&GPU temps.

As for UPlay, nope. I would NOT need it to start with the Windows, but I have games that require UPlay that I play daily. And, for some reason, UPlay does not want to start when I try to launch a game. All UPlay games require UPlay to already be opened for them to launch. A real pain in the β€” to always have to manually start a program before starting a game.

I will keep in mind what you said though, and I won’t change a thing for a week, or at least until I get the first freeze (hopefully no longer).

EDIT: I would also like to thank you for all the time spent helping me. I’ll write as soon as I get a new freeze. If not, then I’ll be thanking you again in a week for fixing my issue. ^^

Just got the first freeze. Usual freeze, just this time the turn off button did not work the way it did the last time.

As you can see in the video I have recorded: everythaing is frozen (sound, mouse, keyboard), was not doing anything special (was actually not even in the room when it occurred, found it like that), was able to change the keyboard colors and mouse DPI, everything inside the PC was working the way it works when not frozen, the only thing I could do was pressing the PC restart button (the turn off button would have worked if pressing for more second to turn off the PC, but was not responsive by pressing once to turn it off through windows because, I guess, windows was unresponsive).

I did not change anything from what you have told me to do.

It gets to irritating… I can’t take it anymore..

We might be dealing with bad ram here.

              Run memtest on your machine.

Sorry for the late response but I did not really have that much free time to do the test.

I have never done this test before so sorry for being noob. I’ve read on the internet that this test runs forever so I stopped at the 10th test. From what I can see it says I have 6k+ errors at the 4th test. What does this mean? Bad ram, bad slot, bad mobo or bad cpu? Here is a photo of the result.

That amount of errors means bad RAM. You’ll need to replace the RAM with new sticks.

It looks like you’re testing only 2GB worth of RAM, which I’m guessing is 1 stick?

No, I actually had both sticks. Which in total is 8GB.

Should I do this test using only one of them? To see which one is broken?

Can it be that the mobo or the slots are bad, not the stick/s?

So, now I’m more confused than I ever was. I run some tests with memtest again and this time it gave me NO errors. I first tested the first (out of 4) RAM slots. Used the first (out of 2) stick. Gave me no error. Tried the same slot with the other stick. Gave me no error. That means that no matter what the RAM sticks have no issues, right? So I tested the other 2, 3 and 4 RAM slots, using the same (first) stick, and again, NO error.

I no longer understand anything and have no longer any idea to why am I getting those freezes. Not to say that as soon as I finished the tests and started Windows, after it loaded in 2-3 seconds it already gave me a lovely freeze. Please, I’m getting desperate, any ideas anyone?

Does no1 have any clue about what am I dealing with? I would have long given the PC to an IT specialist, but that means I have to stay without PC for some days, I just did not even think about this option because of that.

But now I think that might just be my only option. Since now the freezes are way more often, 2 or 3 times a day, from once in 2-4 days. And my PC’s performance has also got down, I’m getting stuttering in most of the video games, even in old games like WoW.

If only I’d have a way to know what hardware is the issue, I would instantly buy a new one.
