We can check the machine for malware if you wish, when is that last time that was done?
Only checks I've ran recently were Windows Defender checks. That was 2 days ago

Yeah I typically free space if it ever hits red on the PC tab

Please download FRST 64bit It is important FRST is downloaded to your desktop.
Once downloaded right click the FRST desktop icon and select "Run as administrator" from the menu
If you receive any security warnings, or the User Account Control warning opens at any time whilst using FRST you can safely allow FRST to proceed.
FRST will open with two dialogue boxes, accept the disclaimer.

  1. Then select Scan
  2. Frst will take a few minutes to scan your computer, and when finished will produce two log files on your desktop, FRST.txt, and Addition.txt.
  3. They will display immediately on the desktop, attach those both in your next reply.
@Furtivex

If the resource usage shown also displays Palworld (which I have open in the background), and is still higher than should be.. wouldn't hurt to check
Yes, I will move this thread to the malware area, Run FRST, and post the logs. @Furtivex will assist further.

FRST Fix.

Download attached fixlist.txt file and save it to the Desktop.
NOTE. It's important that both files, FRST/FRST64 and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work.
Right Click Run FRST64 as admin; and press the Fix button just once and wait.
If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally.
After that let the tool complete its run.
When finished FRST will generate a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt).
Please post it to your reply.

There should also be a new .txt file on your desktop named: Persistence_Sniper_Result.txt please attach that as well.

ZHP Diag Scanner.

Download ZHP Suite to your desktop.
Right Click Run as admin.
Hit the scanner button.
Once it is complete a file name ZHPdiag.txt will be on your desktop.
Attach it.

Alrighty, it'll be a moment before I can do this.

Good news, got Ethernet and it's super fast.. didn't fix my original issue with WiFi performance but it fixes the base issue.

Also.. this step is just getting needed files, or is it doing something?

It is cleaning up some redundant items, and performing a few task. So yes it is doing something, the fixlist.
As far as ZHP diag scan it will list areas that FRST does not, and I will clean up trash files from that as well.
