Can w have a new MTB log and Speccy url

Please only use the terms crash, crashes and crashing if you see an actual BSOD and Stop Code, if you don`t see this the computer has not crashed but has overheated and shutdown to stop it from frying.

Ah yes of course, there's always a BSOD when I use Enscape though, that's why I mentioned it.. Same stopcode "critical service died".
Or, sometimes the system just freezes for a looong time and I have no option but to long-press the power button.


I would like to update you on these few things -

- One of my friends tried to create a Crash Dump yesterday, but the size of the .dmp is 1.42 gb so I won't be able to send it. We analysed it in windbg - please check if it points to a possible error. (1.5gb MEMORY DUMP ANALYSIS.txt)

- Also a few .dmp files were created yesterday (C:\Windows\Minidump folder), attaching them as well. (Mini dumps 10th Aug.zip)

- Yesterday I tried the Driver Verifier tool (windows) to check if it was a driver issue. (I'm not sure if it was a good idea, but I tried my luck anyway).
Once the verifier started, the laptop kept crashing with a BSOD (even before it restarted completely) in an endless loop. I'm attaching the photo of the BSOD below. (This was the only stopcode that appeared countless times - refer Driver verifier.jpeg). Please let me know your thoughts on this. I tried to find some info about it but I couldn't exactly figure out.

You are off course free to go and do as you see fit but just so that you know I will not be chiming in again while you are doing anything not suggested here.

Network drivers and Windows corruption are two things that we can see in the MTB log.

Best thing that you can do is to clean install Windows, then the chipset, storage and GPU drivers and strictly in that order, do not install any third party software until Windows has been fully up dated and the system given a good testing either by steps that we provide or by you running stress tests for yourself.

Hey there. I may get time to reinstall windows tomorrow! I had a question though - the last time I used the "remove everything, keep nothing option" while reinstalling. But all my files in the other drives (two drives except C were intact. Do you think those files should be removed as well when I reinstall this time?

But there was no option (at least I didn't notice) that allowed me to clean up those drives as well.

So most of the blue screens come up while the rendering is going on.. other than that, only while 3d modelling it *sometimes* happens, or when I'm multitasking with these software in background.

While using any other software/apps, no crashing/bsod occurs.

When the rendering software wasn't installed, there were no BSODs.

Okay, I don't know about this one! Any chance that the laptop came this way when I purchased it? I haven't touched the bios so I'm not sure how that got enabled..

Today, I did two things -
1. I disabled all Background Apps in settings
2. I switched to another power socket/outlet.
These two weirdly lengthened the duration between crashes.
I was rendering a medium sized model continuously for 4+ hours, video exports and all going on, and it was on charging too! It was super heated up but no freezing or crashing at all. I think in the 5th hour when I was exporting a 1 minute video, that's when it crashed with a "critical process died".

I'll reinstall windows anyway, but just wanted to check with you if this is indicative of any other issue as well.

You have clean installed Windows since you purchased the notebook so perhaps you installed RAID drivers afterwards.

The underlaying issue that you are having is heat, generic notebooks are just not really cut out for your intended use, high end notebooks for example have a heatsink and cooling fan atop of both the CPU and the dedicated GPU, this helps to keep the temperatures far lower than what is going on with your notebook.

As an asides, your charger has to be connected whenever you put the notebook under load, the GPU will not get enough power otherwise.

Also, I just clean installed Windows 10. Then installed Chipset, Storage and GPU drivers from Acer website. Now the windows updates are done.

Having two fans you would expect the computer to be able to handle the heat better, obviously not and most likely due to how thin the computer is, no room for good airflow inside so even more important that you make sure that the air being sucked in is as cold as possible.

The main errors in MTB are the notebook shutting down and you having an unlicensed version of Windows, see the below;

Yes you're right about that..
I also noticed twice before the reinstallation that while rendering, when the laptop was charging, the windows froze and it was about to crash (it's crashed so many times that I could see the behavior matched exactly). But soon after I removed it from charging, it took a minute or two, but then all windows that were started working again, it was rendering again and the BSOD was avoided. I wonder if it's related to charging?

Unlicensed??? Howww!!! But it shows in the Windows settings screen-- this is how it was the last time as well!

Is it possible to fix that?

The circled one I installed first.

Then in the same link - I installed the IRST Storage driver.
After that VGA-Intel,
and last VGA-NVIDIA.
Followed by Windows updates.
Then installed speccy and run it.
After that I installed MTB.
