Hello. I Have tried to google this, but all methods thus far have failed. Here is what I am working with:

Brand new HP laptop
2 external monitors
MCY USB-C dock

Plugged into the Dock:
USB mouse
USB keyboard
VGA to monitor
HDMI to monitor
Ethernet cable

Settings so far:
Laptop set to not power down or sleep when plugged in and closed.
Monitors set to only use external monitors.
Device manager set to wake from sleep on mouse and keyboard.
Device set to sleep after 10 minutes of no activity.

What I would like:
Device to sleep after 10 minutes of no activity.
Device to wake from mouse and/or keyboard use AND
both external monitors work WITHOUT opening the laptop.

Currently, I have to open laptop, wake with mouse or keyboard. unplug the dock, re-plug the dock and then the monitors work.

Thanks for your help, all!

Most of that can be found in the poser settings.

What is helpful to know is
Operating System
Version
Release
Desktop Environment
Hey Rustys!
Thanks for the reply. Here are the stats:
Windows 11 Home
Version 22H2
Installed on 9-24-22
Typical desktop enviornemt.

no, I have the adjusted the power settings as stated in the original post:
Laptop set to not power down or sleep when plugged in and closed.
Monitors set to only use external monitors.
Device manager set to wake from sleep on mouse and keyboard.
Device set to sleep after 10 minutes of no activity.

Still having problem.

Everything related to display and the usb-c dock that has a power management setting is set to allow to wake up and do not turn off to save power.

First thing I would try is plugging a wired keyboard or mouse directly into the laptop - bypass the docking station
and test.
We need to see if the laptop or the station is the issue

@PeterOz thank you

Check the port that the dock is connect to and check the power settings for that port.

Other than that kind of out if ideas. Have you looked at the FAQ on the manufactures site for the dock?

Are you using the supplied power adapter to power the dock
If yes, will it work if you disconnect the power adapter and let the usb c port power the device?

Is the MYC the manufacture of that or just like the model?

I can find Manuals for it, yet they are as useful as well we leave it at that.
