Hello,

I bought a prebuilt pc like 3 years ago and it wasnt anything that good, just little bit under normal gaming pc. This year I decided to upgrade my cpu for a better one because of the bottleneck. With the cpu I also bought a new motherboard because the motherboard in the prebuilt pc was not compatible with newer cpus. Everything was working good until this and last month (upgraded at the start of the year). Last and this month the pc has started to get pretty slow. Games are also not lagging but there are alot of unresponsive stuff going on. For example in games I would do something then there would be no sound and then after some seconds there would be a lag spike and the spike will last from seconds or even minutes. Then the sound will come back and the sound that I wasnt hearing can also be heard. Basicly playing back the sound that I wasnt hearing and in 5x speed. 80% chance that the game will also close in the middle of the lag spike and windows becomes unresponsive and also the box will be displayed on the screen saying that Microsoft Windows is not responding, do you want to wait or end the process. When I am not playing then windows is pretty slow and it will pretty often say that Microsft Windows is not responding even if im not doing almost anything. Task Manager shows nothing while playing or just being in the computer. I tought I had some kind of virus or something so I installed malwarebytes since windows one didnt find anything. Malwarebytes didnt find anything either. I downloaded ccleaner to clean it up, still nothing. Cleaned the drives, still nothing. Did a chkdsk and after that nothin changed and the only thing that I noticed was that when it scanned and repaired if needed and did a restart then I think it uninstalled App Center for Gigabyte motherboard wich I had. I googled and App Center was said to be a pretty xxxxxy thing. I tought that maybe that was the problem but still anything didnt change. Now im here trying to get help.

Complete garbage and the most likely cause of some if not all your troubles, rated as – Tier E • Avoid here

The PSU is the most important component in a PC because it has the ability to either kill or keep all of the hardware safe.

Gaming quality rigs 100% must have a minimum of a Gold efficiency rated PSU from one of the following, the Corsair RM range, EVGA or Seasonic, the PSU must also be capable of providing at least the minimum output stated by any GPU manufacturer but personally I always go for the recommended output which tends to be around 50W higher.

Power Profile
Active power scheme: Ultimate Performance

While we look at the Speccy report, one thing I will suggest is that you change the Windows Power Plan to Balanced, Ultimate and High Performance are a form of overclocking that is known to cause stability and overheating issues and a weak PSU such as the one that you have will get hotter and weaker the more that you use it.

Let us know if correcting the Windows Power Plan changes anything.

Changed the Power Plan and nothing changed. PC is still really slow and just a moment ago freezed for a couple of minutes. Decided to do a restart after the freeze and the restart took ages. Windows is on ssd.
I think I have to buy a better psu and hope that helps.

chkdsk did find issues and repaired them? What does "if needed" mean?

After you replace the PSU:

Open an elevated command prompt.

Copy and paste this into it and press Enter.
DISM /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
Copy and paste the result in your next reply

After the above finishes, copy and paste this and press Enter.
sfc/ scannow
Copy and paste the result in your next reply

with the "if needed" I meant that it will repair if needed and if it doesnt detect anything bad it doesnt. It didnt find any issues tho.
