Download Malwarebytes v.4 . Install and run.

  • Once the MBAM dashboard opens, click on Settings (gear icon).
  • Click on Security tab and make sure that all four Scan options are enabled.
  • Close Settings and click on the Scan button on the dashboard.
  • Once the scan is completed make sure you have it quarantine any detections it finds.
  • If no detections were found click on the Save results drop-down, then the Export to TXT button and save the file as a Text file to your desktop.
  • If there were detections then once the quarantine has completed click on the View report button, then click the Export drop-down, then the Export to TXT button, and save the file as a Text file to your desktop or other location you can find and attach that log on your next reply.
  • If the computer restarted to quarantine you can access the logs from the Detection History, then the History tab. Highlight the most recent scan and double-click to open it. Then click the Export drop-down, then the Export to TXT button, and save the file as a Text file to your desktop or other location you can find and include that log on your next reply.

OK. I have to work early so Ill take a look when I get of.f. Run the malwarebytes scan.

Do you use One Drive? If not go thru and uncheck anything that related to one drive. Also, uncheck these in Autoruns after starting the program as admin. Under services tab uncheck anything related to Adobe, Google, Mozilla, Edge.
Then reboot the machine.

Uninstall these programs.

TAP-Windows 9.21.2 (HKLM\...\TAP-Windows) (Version: 9.21.2 - )
Mozilla Maintenance Service (HKLM\...\MozillaMaintenanceService) (Version: 66.0.3 - Mozilla)
WhoCrashed 7.06 (HKLM\...\WhoCrashed_is1) (Version: 7.06 - Resplendence Software Projects Sp.)
WhySoSlow 1.61 (HKLM\...\WhySoSlowHome_is1) (Version: - Resplendence Software Projects Sp.)

Re-run FRST and post fresh FRST and addition.txt logs.

Next thing I would be doing is making sure there is a backup of chrome bookmarks and passwords.

Then reset chrome with this tool.

I suggest only having ublock origin installed, and if you must keep other extensions to a minimum.

No problem. Just that they do things a certain way in the forum. Thank for staying with me.

Those are fine. Go ahead with scan, with the three options ticked.

Ok once you have completed everything else, post fresh frst and Addition logs.

Is this the program Everything? Or Hijack ?

Of course after I say no lockups it locks up, but I noticed it only locked up when I was called away from the PC and had multiple programs open. A game, the browser and Discord. I know if I have to run multiple programs, I do not do it for long periods of time, because it locks up. But I was called away from my PC and sure enough when I got back it was locked up. Mouse would work but nothing responded to any attempts at closing anything out. So what does that tell you? Anything?

I assume all is well? I’ll close the thread in 48 hours.
