OK unfortunately HWINFO provides no info on GPU power draw. Go ahead and try HWMONITOR from CPUID. You can remove HwInfo from your computer.
Alright this one doesn't list power draw for the GPUs either.
As long as you're able to do the benchmark with CrossFire disabled, and NOT with it enabled, that strongly leads to drawing too much power.

I agree. Im having a hard time finding anything spec for amp draw. And most of what I am reading indicates that this pwer supply *should* be sufficient for x2 r9 390. yet i did see an article referring to 50 amps for a single r9, so I am with you that in crossfire, we maybe requiring 100 amps, and this PSU is rated at 83 i think it was, maybe 87. Maybe a bad connector? I am no expert. How does crossfire operate? Is it indeed trying to fire BOTH cards at same time, thus causing the PSU OCP to trip ( it would appear so...) I am not convinced this psu is insufficient. Faulty maybe....
your PSU has LEDs on it yes? I assume that they're all green when benchmarking with Crossfire enabled just before it reboots?

To answer your question about Crossfire and SLI-configuration setups, they draw power at the same time from the PSU. The rails are basically a cluster of wires. You've got +12v rails, +3.3v rails, +5v rails, etc. Now if you've properly setup your Crossfire configuration, everything will run smoothly with no hiccups. Your PC is not shutting off, but rather rebooting when you're running what's called a "stress test". Have you checked to verify it's not rebooting due to a BSOD? If your PC is not setup to create dumps of BSOD logs, do so and run the benchmark again to see if a minidump BSOD file is created. If so, you can upload it and we'll take a look at it to verify what's causing the issue (if any).
Just making sure here you do have your 6/8 pin power connectors hooked up correct? I am still trying to find a monitor that reports voltage on from psu,that is compatible with win 10. Also from my research your your psu would need at least 30 to 42 amps just for one vid card from the 12 volt rail and as i remember if you cross fire/sli you need to almost double your power to run these and at min requirements of 700/750 watts per card,also it i have seen some gamers recommended 2 12 volt rails/high amps in a psu for a high-ish end card to work correctly. I looked at one of your post and those voltages looked a little quirky. Have you check your voltages from the bio's?
EDIT: what are the spec's on the core clock,also is the model and name of the gpu complete? I can't find the specific spec's on this r9 390 G1...the G 1 is throwing things off in my research.

Ill start looking into bios and doing some research on that, its a bit over my head at the moment. This is my first high endish build. I am also wondering if win 10 upgrade from win 7 may have some issues. Right now I have a ghost image in lower right corner of monitor saying activate windows, go to settings to activate. I think its a remnant of the win 10 pop out. I have ordered a copy of win ten should be here tomarrow in case I need to wipe and re install *sighs*

Jmarket, thank you for info on power draw. I will look into the dump logs just to make sure. I do see the graphics come up right before it reboots, so it isnt a "true" blue screen but still maybe happening. it seems when it happens the -12v 3.3v and 5v lights on back of psu go out first, it happens so fast, maybe my eyes but that is hows it seems. So I have my work cut out for me today, I am taking the day off....

Ok...how about the card spec's? To verify......... what are the spec's on the core clock,also is the model and name of the gpu complete..

I believe stock core clock on these gpu is 1024 or 1025 mhz I believe they ship slightly over clocked. Is that what you were asking or am i just thowing around numbers LOL, googling voltages in bios now.....

This is prolly too much, but I actually traced the wire to the first set of 6/8 pins and plug them into right side of card and first slot of psu on card one. the left side recieved the pins at end of wire. I did this exactly the same on other card from slot 2 on psu. same trouble. I then reversed them (mid pin to left end pin to right on cards. It was a long shot, but i thought maybe they have to be plugged up exactly the same. Silly yes, but I do AC work and often have communication problems from something as silly as that. It was worth the two minutes to check it out, but no dice. Who is shocked? lol

the power cords are/were plugged in. I just made sure each card was plugged up EXACTLY the same.
