Good news! (So far)
My PC is up and running with a brand new SSD and sata cable and I'm currently installing Windows 10 on it

I'ma replace the 1tb HDD next month hopefully

Don`t forget, install Windows, install the chipset and SATA drivers for the MB, install the GPU drivers and only then should you check for and install any Windows 10 updates.

NB: Please do not double post unless it is urgent, I get enough notifications as it is without getting any extra :(

To avoid your posts being detected as spam, can you not quote every post or add multiple posts while waiting for us to reply to your last, edit your last post to include anything that you wish to add, this will ensure nothing gets overlooked which can sometimes happen if a thread has more than one page.

Few questions if I may;

Have you been able to successfully install Windows.

Did you try to install the chipset drivers first.

What chipset drivers did you try to install and where did they come from.

Yup, windows installation was pretty straight forward
And I tried but it gave me that error so I carried on installing the rest of the drivers
And last but not least, I went to Asus website for the B85mg page and downloaded it's drivers that were provided in the support tab

Both Hotfix and Chipset gave me that fatal error

Strange but if everything is working as it should be and you are able to update Windows 10 and Defender I would say that you have done a good job.

Thank you!
I really appreciate all your support, you really helped me a lot thank you so much!!
