I have a hp envy 17 with an i7-4702mq and nvidia geforce gt750m laptop with 8gb of ram. running on windows 10. A few months ago, my laptop suddenly freezes everytime I close my game. It works fine when running the game but a couple of minutes after playing the laptop would freeze and shut down by itself. As time passes, it started happening when I am using google chrome, lightroom, and various other apps.

I have tried a clean install of windows on the current ssd, swapping the ram with brand new ones, and even doing a clean install on a new ssd and none of these methods seem to work. I also have tried using cmd to locate errors but no errors have been found. Please help me find a solution for this problem.

That is an older notebook so it could be related to your power supply weakening/overheating or likewise something overheating inside of the notebook.

When was the last time that the notebook was cleaned out of heat trapping dust.

What is the exact model name and number of the HP computer.

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

I have tried a clean install of windows on the current ssd,

There are no HP system drivers shown to have been installed since you reinstalled Windows.

Once Windows has been clean installed you must then install first the MBs chipset drivers, then the storage/SATA drivers and third the graphics drivers, the drivers can either come from a disk provided by the motherboard manufacturer or downloaded from their site and saved to a flash drive etc, this is a must and Windows should not be allowed to check for updates before it has been done as more often than not Windows installs the wrong drivers or in the incorrect order and this can cause all sorts of problems.

Power Profile
Active power scheme: Balanced

You need to change the Windows Power Plan to High Performance or your GeForce GT 750M will not get the power that it needs to perform properly, you should also be sure to only use GPU drivers downloaded from HP.
