Can you post the brand and model name or number of the power supply (PSU).

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.


To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

heres the link. i dont know why but its showing that i have 2gb of vram but i have 6 gb

Before we go any further, can you answer this for us if you will.

Can I ask that you do not quote every reply, it really does not help any and just makes for unnecessary reading, thanks.
 
Polite reminder, do not quote every reply, enter your text into the empty dialogue input box and click on the POST REPLY tab when you are ready.

Not a good PSU when there is a high end video card present, the GTX 1660 requires the system to be powered by a minimum of a 450W PSU with at least 27 amps on the +12V rail, your PSU only just makes the wattage requirements as it produces 456W but what really lets it down is the efficiency rating, high end GPUs need the stability and protection of a Gold efficiency rated PSU, 80+ PSUs are only intended for entry level desktops that have integrated graphics and if you load them up by adding a demanding GPU the weaker components inside of the PSU will overheat and shutdown, FSP are not too bad a brand but worse case scenario with some cheaper brands is they go on fire/

While we look at the Speccy report, one thing I will suggest is that you change the Windows Power Plan to Balanced, High Performance is a form of overclocking that is known to cause stability and overheating issues and a weak PSU such as the one that you have will get hotter and weaker the more that you use it.
