Have you set a static IP with this tool?

Simple Static IP
Also set your best DNS server after setting the Static IP
I havent set a static IP. Do you want me to set it for my PC or for my router?
I did find my best DNS server, but when I changed it (I tried it in both the router settings as well as in Windows) it didnt actually change. No matter what I set it to, in command prompt it would show up as my default gateway. The only thing that helped change it was the batch file that was posted earlier in this thread. So Ill try changing it in Windows again but it might not work... I might need to edit the batch file and run it again, but I still dont know why it wouldnt just let me change it...

I'll try both of these and report back.

Just set it for your PC.

Also, in the instruction guide. It shows how to change the dns server via command prompt if you read the guide fully. That is how the batch file is changing it. :)

****. I was just about to change my DNS server again but in command prompt it lists my default gateway again... It seems to do this automatically every couple of days. Any idea why this would happen? I can definitely change it but Im gonna have to do it every other day...

Perhaps windows updates, I am not sure, but we can put a batch file in the windows startup that will change/ensure that; that dns server is being used. But first lets see how a static ip and the best dns server combo does via your gameplay.

When I run the batch file (I changed the DNS servers in the file to my best ones, per DNSBench) it says "Value DisabledComponents exists, overwrite(Yes/No)?"

I'm assuming yes?

Once you complete the best dns server and set a static ip, reboot your computer run minitoolbox again, post the log.

Alright I wont be around my pc for a couple more hours but Ill do that. Hopefully it makes a difference.

And sorry for the weird formatting. I originally tried to reply to your first comment before I saw the last one.

All good, update when you can. :)
For the last few days when I turn on my PC I get a firewall popup for either Microsoft Edge or Steam that says "some features of this app have been blocked". I didnt think much of it but it just happened again for edge and then when I restarted my pc after the batch file it popped up but for Steam. I think it also happened with Brave browser once as well... I've checked the program files (86) folders for these programs and the executables look normal and not like " edge.exe.exe" or something fishy like that.. Not sure if that's normal or not...

Stay tuned and Ill post that minitoolbox info for you.

And just an FYI, the USB device that is problematic is my USB gamepad. Often times when I turn my PC the controller doesn't power on. (I have to unplug it and plug it back in for it to work.)

Ok, the static ip is set, and the DNS server is set to 1.1.1.1--- 1..0.0.1

Those DNS servers are what the batch file set for you, is that what came up after running the tool listed in the guide here.

Better question is, how is the gameplay now?

Unfortunately still having problems. Ive only played for a bit but so far it's mostly my game stuttering when I get shot at.

Perhaps the graphics driver?

Open Msconfig then load the base video driver, reboot and test the game.

Wow, game feels much better. Hit detection feels better and no microstuttering.

I will say the game works intermittently so there's a good chance in a couple games or in a day or 2 itll stop working, but I'll update if it does.

If overclocking ram in bios turn off.
Reduce display Hz Down from 240Hz - for testing purposes.
What version of Direct X do you have
  1. To check which version of DirectX is on your PC using the DirectX Diagnostic Tool, select the Start button and type dxdiag in the search box, then press Enter.
  2. In the DirectX Diagnostic Tool, select the System tab, then check the DirectX version number under System Information.
