i have this problem where the pc boot up but with no display ,load of noise from cooler but after i set BIOS to defaults and purge power from the unit, it does turn on and works well for 4-2 minute then it shut down and it came back to the same problem(orange color button no display) again ?

I tried testing the RAM and unplugging other devices but still nothing changes.
what could be the problem ? cpu half dead - pus - motherboard issue ?

I removed the hard drive as I thought the problem could be from the drivers.

Ah, the old Dell LED error lights - don't see those helpful buggers much anymore.
the Dell manual (or website) will indicate what LED 3 and 4 mean - from memory it's do with memory (huh, funny)

so take out the memory sticks, and with a soft bristled brush, wipe each of their circuitry boards and contacts, wipe the mobo slots they came out of. put one back in and see if that boots OK.
if not, try that stick in another slot.
if still no luck, remove that stick and try another one.

i tryed 2 rams both of them tested and working well, an i tryed the second place of the slot any way the led 3.4 show no more but the led still orange and no display
 
the thing that i dont understand why it turns nurmal if the bios is on defaults then after some time it shutsdown for no resion
 
if there is an add-on graphics card, remove that, clean it and its slot and reseat.
if no luck, leave the card out and use the integrated graphics and try it that way.

how old is the PC?
it could be as simple as some hardware is faulty - as to which one, that is the trick to find.

there is no out side gpu im usning cpu inside gpu ( VGA is ipluged to motherboard not gpu) does that mean the cpu problem ?
 
does the monitor work if plugged into another PC?
try another VGA cable if possible or try changing to HDMI, DVI or DisplayPort if the PC and the monitor supports other connection methods.
have to reset the BIOS settings back to factory defaults?
have you checked the Dell site for BIOS updates?

monitor works in other pc yes. the ports r limited with vga. i did setthe bios back to factory defaults it turns for a 3-4 minutes then the same problem agian
i cant really update the bios if there is an interrupting shutdown can i ?
 
does the PC only shutdown when it's booted into your login account?
in other words, get into BIOS and see how long the stays on for.
or start the PC in Safe Mode and log in and see if it still shuts down.
 
nvm sorry and thanks for trying to help me i just give up im throwing it to the trash box. sorry agian
 
would have been nice to find the reason why, but that's cool.
it was an ageing unit anyway and may not have been worth your time and money finding out the reason when those resources could go to a new unit instead.
