I’m new to building PCs and I’ve been building mine while watching YouTube tutorials but I got stuck once I found that my front panel headers were one small individual cord (see picture) I know where to plug them into motherboard but not where to plug the other side (4 pins on one row, 2 on second row)

Welcome to PCHF Tkibbey,

You don`t always use all cables that ship with any new hardware and looking at the cable in your picture it may not be compatible with your case, MB or both.

What we need to know is the brand and model name or number of both your computer case and the MB.

I got all my parts from this video, so I would think that it would work.

Hello Tkibbey,

We have you an answer and it is partially in keeping with what was mentioned in my reply #2.

You pictured the cable alongside an EVGA 550B PSU (which is not used in the video build btw) regardless it is nothing to do with a PSU.

The NZXT H500 case that is used in this particular build has two build options, one for an AMD build and one for an Intel, the cable in the picture is not used in an Intel build but it is with an AMD set up.

You mention that you are aware how to connect the cable to the MB which is good, if you look inside the NZXT H500 case/top front where the power on button and USB ports etc are, there should be a cable coming from there that has the corresponding 4+2 female connector that you connect your 4+2 male connector to.
