Very weird hardware problem

Hello,

First of all I will try to write the best I can, but I just spent 5h on my pc and english is not my mother tongue so be nice <3

My config:
OS a custom Windows11 ( up to date via windows update) and also tried a fresh Win11 install
Motherboard: ROG Strix B550-A Gaming
Processor : AMD Ryzen 7 5800X Socket AM4
GPU : 3070 ti

I have a problem on my computer. I made it work under heavy load for some testing recently it was doing fine and temps were good. (below 50 degres )
It started crashing thow and rebooting, but I was still not very worried.

But it finally started crashing very quickly after windows login, and now it doesn't even go to the windows login. ( infinite Windows automatic repair loop )
I originally thought it was just my windows install that was corrupted, so I tried to reinstall windows with a bootable usb.
The bootable usb was also not booting properly most of the time, and even after a successful reinstall on my ssd, It will not boot windows.

I tried to put that same ssd with the fresh install on my laptop, and it worked fine.
I tried to remove most of my unnecessary parts, (other drives, wifi card, swap RAM sticks etc..)
didn't fix the issue, in fact booting with no drives on the usb stick was also causing failed boot sequence when the asus logo appears and then black screen and reboot.

my second thought was that is was an uefi/bios problem (even thow uefi works fine and don't crash)

So I reset the CMOS battery and flashed the last version of UEFI on my motherboard successfully.
Didn't fix the issue.

I now fear that my very recently acquired PC has a faulty motherboard or CPU.
I wanted to see if someone can give me more insight on what the problem might be.

Can you post the brand and model name or number of the power supply (PSU) the same for the RAM including how many sticks you have.

What brand is it, EVGA, Gigabyte or a stock Nvidea etc.

Do you have a USB connected to a USB 2.0 port and not one of the 3.2 ports.

Will the computer stay on if you leave it sitting in the BIOS.

Hello, thanks for your reply :)

My power suply is an offbrand but its brand new and way above power needs.
My graphic card is a gigabyte.
I tried all ports with my usb stick same result.

The computer is stable on UEFI

Sorry but your reasoning makes no sense + it doesn`t explain why you did not provide the RAM information that was also requested

The below is 100% proof as to why your power claim was factually incorrect and why you should provide any information that you can when asked for it, our help is free to take or not but not there to be dismissed, remember we offer free help and should not need to interrogate people to get information that we need when trying to help.

The present PSU is junk, labelled as 750W when even the spec label says only 648W and I wouldn`t trust that figure either, the short two year warranty period is a giveaway as good quality brand Bronze efficiency rated PSUs have five years, add to this that here is one thing that is possibly worse than using a known poor quality brand of PSU and that is using one that is unheard of, for brands of PSU to trust and brands to avoid please refer to the links in my sig.

Gigabyte specs here say a minimum of a 750W is required, not just any old 750W but a minimum of a Gold efficiency rated PSU from a proven brand, see Which power supply do you need?

Help is not free if you complain about it ...

RAM Cosair Ballistx 2x8 go 3200 hz

I know about PSU but I burn my 80+ gold gigabyte and had to replace it with minimum delivery time and cost to work, it was a black friday deal. i checked all volatge in the bios seems fine to me ( 80+ is joke nowadays by the way i suggest you check linus youtube channel on how i doesn't mean anything because manufactures cheat about it )

Why are you here if you are such an expert, Linus is guidance only and it is the card manufacturer that is expected to honour any warranty should the card break, not a PSU calculator or some faceless person on the internet that says that it is ok to ignore any minimum PSU requirements specified by the GPU manufacturer.

Not wasting any more time here, the OP already knew that they had a below spec PSU so if their hardware has been damaged it will hopefully be an expensive lesson learned.
