Hello there! To sum it up shortly, I have the following:
Ryzen 9 5900x 12-core processor
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
32 GB memory + Storage
ASRock B550M-HDV Motherboard
144hz monitor.

I will be running a video game, sometimes streaming, sometimes not, and periodically my frames will drop to 9fps, fluctuating up to 30 and a few seconds later back up to 144.
I've tried multiple settings, optimized for higher quality and also for optimal performance etc. It will go days where it doesn't do this, and then do it several days in a row... I've turned off background apps etc. I'm not super educated on PCs so I'm at a loss. I've also noticed the frame drop triggers the audio to go to crap too. ANY help would be wonderful. It makes playing video games impossible and so very frustrating.

Can you post the brand and model name or number of the power supply (PSU).

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

Gamdias Kratos M1 750B power supply

The below in addition to that advised by Bastet above, can you let Bastet know if/when you have uninstalled this particular update.

Gamdias Kratos M1 750B power supply

Shouldn`t be used anywhere near a demanding build and especially one that has such a high end GPU like an RTX 3070, Bronze efficiency rated PSUs are only intended for use with entry level desktops that only have integrated graphics or the most basic of add on GPU that requires no supplemental power dongle from the PSU, this from proven brands such as Corsair, EVGA and Seasonic, a Gamdias that you can get on ebay here should under no circumstances be used, even more so going by the user reviews here

Your build must have a minimum of a Gold efficiency rated PSU Which power supply do you need?

Least expensive I could find that has a ten year warranty EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G5

RAM
32.0GB Dual-Channel Unknown @ 1330MHz

You need to enable XMP in the BIOS so that the RAM works at its max of 2998MHz, DDR4 3200MHz would have been a better choice but all you can do is get the most out of the spec that you have.

Operating System
Windows 10 Home 64-bit
Computer type: Desktop
Installation Date: 4/23/2021 5:48:52 PM

There are no chipset drivers for the MB shown to have been installed, as soon as Windows has been installed you must install the latest chipset drivers for the MB as the chipset is what enables the board to be able to communicate with all the other hardware, after the chipset drivers you install the storage/SATA drivers and then the GPU drivers.

Please note that chipset drivers for new MBs must be installed from either the installation disk that shipped with the MB or direct from the MBs download centre, if you do not do this Windows update may download and install the wrong drivers and cause you no end of trouble.

Wow thanks a bunch guys. It's sorted and it's working so much better. I haven't changed the power supply just yet but I'll order one soon. I didn't choose the one that is in it now and had no idea. The update is uninstalled and I haven't had a single frame issue, Bastet. Thank you both!
