Hello I've installed a new GPU and my pc displays no input.

1. My old gpu used display port input. New one is HDMI.
2. When I turn on the pc I get a display showing options to go to boot screen. However if I wait or press anything the screen then says no input.

So it seems to me a signal is coming through the motherboard, through the new gpu and into the monitor or I wouldn't get a display at all I just don't understand why it then changes to no signal input any help appreciated. Thanks

Sorry but you have post looking for help but have provided zero information about the computer or its hardware.

Provide information about your computer, is it a custom build or brand name such as Dell or HP, if a brand name, provide the model name or series number (not serial) if a custom build post the brand and model name or number for the CPU, MB, the RAM (including the amount) add on video card if one is used and the PSU (power supply unit) providing these details will enable folk to better assist you.

Sorry.
Custom build which has worked fine last 10 years.

Mother board: gigabyte ga-z77x-ud3h
Cpu: Intel i7 3550k
Ram: Crucial RAM CT102464BD160B 8GB DDR3 1600 MHz CL11
Psu: I can't remember but everything powers up without issue
Gpu: geoforce rtx 3070

Even when out of the box new that PSU is not of the standard that an RTX 3070 requires and by using such a PSU that is also some five years out of warranty you are basically playing Russian Roulette, when out of the box new the PSU was rated as Tier C • Recommended for cheap mid/low-end systems here you need something rated as Tier A • Recommended for high-end systems.

Which power supply do you need?

Is the GPU one of Nvideas own or is it a third party such as EVGA or Gigabyte etc,

How many storage devices such as HDDs, SSDs and DVD players do you have, allowance has to made for their power draw as well.

MSI say 650W here and you not having multiple drives means the example PSU here with a ten year warranty will do.

In addition to the above, did you uninstall the drivers for the previous GPU before you swapped cards, Windows will try and load them for the new card if you didn`t and that will not end well.
