Help please ! Suddenly my FPS dropped to 100 from 250 in csgo and valorant

So I built a new PC like 1,5 years ago and its been running smoothly. Playing mostly CS:GO and Valorant, running them on 250 fps no problem without any real fps drops.

But yesterday I bought a new Monitor to replace my former first monitor. New monitor is Samsung Odyssey G3 S27AG304NU ( 144hz 27" ) and the one im using as second monitor now is BenQ XL2411P ( 144hz 24" )

Both connected directly to the GPU, not motherboard, and Samsung with DP cable, BenQ ( 2nd screen ) with hdmi since I dont need 144hz on it.

So the problem is after I connected the new screen into my PC and started playing CS:GO I noticed my very stable 250fps had suddenly turned into a very unstable 70-120 fps and dropping drastically everytime there was some action. Went on and tried it on Valorant, same problem. And yes, I did check from my screen setting that it is set to 144hz ( although I dont think it matters anyway since the fps in-game is the one that has been affected by something )

My PC specs:
-Windows 10 Home 64-bit
-AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Eight-Core Processor (16 CPUs), ~3.7GHz
-NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER
-Samsung SSD 860 QVO 1TB Free Space: 543.6 GB
-MSI X470 GAMING PLUS MAX AM4 ATX motherboard
-SilentiumPC Fera 3 HE1224 v2 processorcooler
-G.Skill RipjawsV DDR4 3200 MHz 16 Gt RAM
-Corsair VS650, 80 PLUS White - ATX-POWER

Sorry but why have you asked for help if you already know all the answers :unsure:

No it isn't and if you will not take the documented proof provided then I`m afraid you will just have to wait until the PSU fails and most likely takes the rest of your hardware with it.

Not correct, adding a second screen increases the power draw and can raise internal temperatures by as much as 10 °C

Good luck with it.

I wasn't trying to be a dick about it sorry :p It's just that I did not add a secondary monitor, I already had 2 monitors, just changed the older one to a new one, and their power consumptions are the same, so it literally cannot be the problem mate. Also many of my friends who know alot more than me about PC's told me 650 is well enough for my setup so I trust that information :9 also I think im close to solving this, don't know why but my CSGO started getting 230-250 fps again after I adjusted all graphics settings to high ? does not make any sense but right now it's working fine again. just have to keep playing and see how it goes

No problem as you are free to take whoever's advice that you choose, the FPS problem is most likely internet related but I stand by the PSU advice, it is not a case of if but when the PSU either fails or kills your GPU.

Well aware of what FPS means but you appear not to be, any video footage played on the screen be it a film or a game is subject to being measurable by FPS, you also mentioned that CS:GO and Valorant were both affected by FPS but are now going back on it.

You will have to wait for someone else to come along as I`m out.

Internet connection has no relation to "Frames Per Second" in games what so ever!

Edit: Prove me wrong or delete your comments.

So a slow internet connection will not slow down video frames when you are playing online games, you are a real genius "Not"

Documented proof that the PSU is garbage was provided in my reply #2.

Rather than delete this thread it will be left visible and for two reasons, so that other members can see what helpers on forums have to put up with and more importantly so that they can see that they will only get honest, free help here that can always be backed up by documented evidence.

Thread closed before it get`s any more ridiculous :rolleyes:
