Solved Did GTA V break My Internet?

So every since downloading and installing GTA V from Steam my internet is basically broken. It is taking forever for pages to load, if they load at all, mostly it takes forever then says sever error, or server can't be reached. My connection seems to go out sporadically, and just overall it seems to not be working. I am totally serious about this. I have Spectrum broadband, at 400mbps. I am using 5ghz WiFi, and the WiFi signal it at full strength. When I switch to my downstairs neighbors 5mbps 2.4ghz at&t connection it works fine so it has to be something with Spectrum I assume. I have already reset the router 6 times now, and it will work well for about 5 minutes and then once again pages will take forever to load. Once again this started happening after I downloaded and installed GTA V and Steam. Could this possibly be a cap on my data, GTA V was a pretty huge file, about 70GBs.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I have already reset the router 6 times now,
Have you tried the same with the modem?

Have you changed the channel that the router broadcast on you may be getting interference from other WiFi signals

Have you tried resetting the network setting on the system and are there any other devices having the same issue

Tried connecting to the modem directly and does it show the same issue

Could this possibly be a cap on my data
You will have to check to see if that is the case.

hey guys. So it looks like 5Ghz is the only thing that was not working. When I connected to the spectrum 2.4ghz connection it worked fine. Vger, I checked my Windows Update history and on the 21st I did get an update which I had uninstalled before and reinstalled. I went ahead and uninstalled that update again and now my 5Ghz connection seems to be working fine. The update was KB4515384. Also when I went into Windows Update there was another Cumulative Update waiting for me to install. I'm guessing I should probably turn off automatic updates, or just maybe set it to only download and install security updates. Hopefully uninstalling that update did the trick, I'll update you guys tonight, but so far so good, knock on wood.

Okay so another update, while I have a connection it was still really slow with loading pages so I also went ahaead and disabled and reenabled my network adaptor in Device manager and restarted the computer and that has seemed to work with the slow load times, atleast for now. We'll see how it acts whithin the next half hour or so.

Everything seems to be working fine now aftewre uninstalling that update, disabling and re-enabling my network adaptor, and then just moving the wifi router closer to my computer. Thanks for the heads up on that update, I'm pretty sure thats what caused the problems.
