When the computer is turned on, it typically works fine and smoothly. From time to time, the computer will stutter, seen mainly with the lagging cursor. After about 5 - 10 minutes or so, the monitors lose connection and the message 'No Signal' appears on the screens. The system unit, which seems to still be running, will stay 'on' for a while before switching off by itself and the light going out.
Additional information:
This happened immediately after we had the motherboard replaced. Prior to its replacement, whenever the computer and monitors are switched on, the monitors will depict the message 'No Signal' and shortly afterwards, the system unit will turn off by itself and light goes out. After a short while, it will turn itself on again, followed by the monitors turning themselves on before depicting the same message again, and again the system unit turning off - perpetuating a cycle. If we get lucky, eventually the computer will actually switch on properly and will work normally. Thus typically we would just wait until it properly turns on.
However, recently, when the computer was 'switched' on, it would not turn on properly for a long time and the cycle seemed to continue indefinitely. This would continue for several days without any success. Thus, to try and fix the problem we had the motherboard changed. We thought it worked as it managed to turn on properly, but the problem mentioned above then occured.
