I am normally signed all of the time. I just signed out and then signed back in and I didn’t notice any difference.

I don’t no the difference between being signed in or signed out. When ever I connect my cell phone to my pc then One Drive automatically pops up!

Do you know of a program that I can use to transfer my photos from my cell phone to my pc?

At this point I am thinking that maybe I should use my other pc to transfer my photos. I guess it has OneDrive but I have never set it up to for anything. On the other pc I don’t see OneDrive in the “Programs & Features” but I do see it in the start menu.

I just noticed that OneDrive IS in the “Programs & Features” . I was looking for OneDrive in the “O’s” list but it is in the “M” list–Microsoft OneDrive!

Sign in-left click on OneDrive icon at right side top. Then I get this

Then I click on “Sign in”

My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S22.

When I connected my phone to my other pc OneDrive did not open, so maybe I’m okay with using the other pc instead of screwing around with my first pc! I guess I screwed up when I uninstalled the first pc!

I go to onedrive.com and sign in
Click on Account manager - top right hand corner
Next to my device I click on view details
Then click on remove/unlink

I don’t have an experience with removing OneDrive but I’ll see what I can offer.

Those programs are part of Office/Microsoft 365 so if these are installed then they‘re either the free version (view files only), the web version (you have to view/edit online or you have Office/365 installed & activated.
If OneDrive is installed then you should be able to open the settings to disable auto upload/backup of Photos. Then you can try Revo Uninstaller to cleanly remove OneDrive & scan for leftovers.
Download Revo Uninstaller Free - Remove unwanted programs easily Windows/Microsoft apps are under their own tab.

If I left click on the three dots, this is what pops up. If I click on “Settings” see below:

After trying several times to transfer my photos from my phone to my “other” pc, I finally transferred them. I just hope that I can write it down so I can do it again!!

Okay, I think that I am at a point where I need to use a “work around” with OneDrive. My “other” pc also has OneDrive and it opens whenever I connect my phone to either of my pc’s. The “work around” is this–when I connect my phone to my pc and OneDrive opens then I just “X” it out. I then look for my Galaxy S22 phone in the list of items on the toolbar below “Quick access”. I then click on Galaxy S22>internal storage>DCIM>camera and there are all the videos & photos that are on my phone. And I can put them where ever I want to!

I now know that OneDrive can not be uninstalled. And I can live with that!

Thanks for everyone that has posted! I appreciate all of your help. Merry Christmas to all!

Via explorer is the easy way as you have done
Myphoneexplorer which I linked above is also good for photos, contacts text messages etc.

When you open Onedrive are you going via the internet?

When I connect the phone to the pc with a cable, OneDrive automatically pops up. I just click on click “cancel” in the box that says “Import items” and then I click on the “X” at the top right. After that I go to toolbar to find “Galaxy S22”!

This was asked back on disconnecting the computer.
The instructions and pics I gave in post #36 was via logging into onedrive via the internet

It does not look like what you have attached to post #36. In settings there is a section called “Sources” and you can add a folder where photos will import to that folder. I have deleted all the folders/folder. I figure that OneDrive can’t import photos to anywhere if there are not any folder added?!
