Fortnite having massing lag, which didn't happen before

Hello,

Whenever I try to play Fortnite it’s just impossible. The amount of lag spikes (we’re talking about 5 seconds duration freeze every like 4 seconds)
It started out of a sudden, nothing changed, nothing was different. It only happens with Fortnite.

Please help,

Are you using a NVIDIA GPU? There’s a similar ongoing thread here, maybe it’s a common issue with their most recent update or with the most recent GPU drivers.

and it’s just with Fortnite?
could it be an internet speed issue or PC background tasks?

It got fixed. Apparently, it was a service that was not starting properly. Had to uninstall and reinstall.
